X-box 360 Guitar Hero III Sound Issues

I've had GHIII for a couple of months now. I played it non-stop for about a month and half to two months, almost beat it on hard and have really enjoyed it.

I put it down for a while to play (and beat) Bioshock. I went back to it today and noticed that the main guitar sounds (the notes you strum) are not even heard. I thought no big deal so I just shut the console down (after going back to the main menu) and restarted it. Still having the same problem on a lot of songs (not all).

I have the Les Paul guitar (wireless) and I do know about the sensor issue for star power but what can be causing this? I don't think it's the 360 but I'm not sure. I know wii users had a similar problem as well.

Anyone have any additional info on this? Is it the console?

They're not heard, but are they hit when you strum?

Is your 360 hooked up to a surround sound system? Could be your center speaker.

If it's not hooked up to surround sound, make sure you check GH3s audio options to make sure there's nothing selected for surround sound (not sure if that's even an option.)

If you've gone through those steps, try going into the consoles settings and make sure the audio is chosen correctly.

Other than that, I have no clue.

Yes, they are hit when I strum them. When I was playing even flow, they would play off and on then cut out again. Same with a couple of other songs - I am going to check the console settings right now.....

Console settings are fine and I haven't changed anything since I got the system. I'm hoping it's not the console though.

Like CKMorpheus said, check the center speaker.

Uh, ok.....I feel like the biggest idiot in the world and should at least be pat on the back for admitting it........I don't have a 5.1 system but the one wire on my left speaker is uh......ripped off (prob the damn dog again).

So I will just delete this thread when enough people see that there is no sound issue with guitar hero III and that rival11 is a complete ass.

Keep moving, nothing to see here.

hehehe -smile-

You can't delete your thread... you would have to get a mod to do it, and they would probably just lock it.

The mods are bastards.... especially the ones in here... :sarcasm:
