Getting a PS3, will my PS2 Guitar Hero's and Guitars work?
 

Thanks to Warner Brothers, I have decided to buy a Playstation 3 for its Blu-ray capabilities as well as a replacement for my aging PS2. I was fortunate enough to find a 60gb PS3 the next town over to allow for the best backwards compatibility, but as I understand it the controller ports aren't the same as the PS2.

Is there an adapter or something that I can use to plug in my PS2 guitars to work with my PS2 Guitar Hero games? If so, is it even worth it... ie. does it have lag or something adverse gaming effect?

I'd rather not have to sell my old gear and games and rebuy them unless that's my only option. Any info would be great.

Xbox 360
GHIII Guitar works with Rock Band and GHII
Rock Band Guitar does NOT work with Guitar Hero II or III

PS3
GHIII Guitar does NOT work with Rock Band
Rock Band Guitar does NOT work with Guitar Hero
Neither guitar works with previous PS2 Guitar Hero games
PS2 guitars do NOT work on PS3

Essentially the ONLY guitar that works with multiple games and not just the game it's bundled with, is the 360 version of GHIII.
