Finally tried out the feature where you can play a PS1 disk on your PSP through remote play... I admit, it is a pretty cool feature, though it's basically 600 bucks of hardware to play Xenogears on a portable. Lag was noticeable at times, but not too bad for an RPG... I'm sure I'll never be able to play Wipeout on it or anything.

Last nigt I was watching the Lakers-Jazz game and they must have run that damn ad 15 times. I know it's just a commercial, but the gameplay footage looked choppy as hell. That's a pass for me.

For the black "regular" edition of the bundle, it's 80GB and $499.

The limited gunmetal bundle is $599 and 40GB.

I used it for awhile to play some quick You Don't Know Jack before going to bed. Not bad for an extra feature in the PSP.

So if I haven't bought Echochrome yet can I still download the free add-on pack today?

Because the controls for FPS games with the PS3 controller just don't work good. And mostly because 360 owns the genre with Live. The PS3 should stick with 3rd person games.

So because the 360 has an (arguably) better controller for FPS's, and because the 360 has a bunch of good FPS's, Sony and other companies should not make any games for the PS3 in the popular genre, and focus on 3rd person games? Really?

Xbox Live, where you can download high def trailers for upcoming movies, music videos, TV show episodes, movies, game demo's, game clips and trailers, themes and gamer pics for your user account, and much more. Xbox Live Arcade is awesome too, I've downloaded such games as the old Ninja Turtles Arcade Game, and Castlevania Of The Night. Uno is fun as hell too online.

Probably. I've downloaded free GH3 and Rock Band tracks, even though I don't have them for the PS3, just in case.

Oh so similar to the Playstation store? I didnt know if "Live" was a series of games exclusive to Xbox the way the poster phrased it.

Yeah, that was my thought process behind my question. Just because in your opinion a console works better for you in a certain genre doesnt mean that other companies shouldnt develop and sell them too.

If you take that route, there are many, many people who feel that FPS on any console sucks compared to playing on a PC. So should Xbox give it up because it can be done better on a PC?

Even if I accepted your statement as absolute truth instead of opinion, why shouldnt other companies "bother" to make games to sell that many other people may enjoy?

I guess I just dont follow the logic behind that comment. But I am not the sharpest spoon in the drawer.

I checked at 1am Eastern and I didn't see it. So either it didn't go up or it's only accessible through the game menus. I don't know since I haven't bought the game yet.

Live is the whole online experience. Not just a store. Unified friend lists, cross game invites, chat(voice/video) & messaging. It's the heart and soul of the system. Everyone hopes Home will come close to Live functionality, but I have my doubts.

I read it was a minor update meant to improve stability of some games. Although, I don't believe GTA4 is one of them.

I don't know about an add-on pack, but every time you play the game, it asks if you would like to check for updates and will then download new user-created levels. Unfortunately, those levels only appear randomly and can't be replayed unless they pop up again. There is a seperate game mode for those levels, apart from the 50 levels that come with the game. Those Japanese fans are some sadistic fuckers; their levels are really hard.

Had you heard about a free add-on besides the user created levels?

I think it was minor issues, not exactly sure about the update.

I did not see the Echochrome update either, so maybe you MUST own the game (as I do not).

I stand corrected about the Gray PS3 also....lame it is only 40GB...oh well. Ba-Ba-Boeeeeey.

Oh it still runs fine most of the time (90% of the time), but if there is ever an issue with the user made mods, it locks up in a heartbeat (it's happened a handful of times to me, only game I've had on either console that has repeatedly "crashed", thankfully, it never happens mid-round). Nothing a quick reboot doesn't fix.

It's still a well made game and a lot of fun, well worth the $20 (I spent $26), it could use a patch is all. Will have to play you when you get it.

Ah ok, cool. As someone who has no need for online experiences with my video games I was unfamilar with the whole thing. Thanks!
