Not on PS3. The only guitar that will currently work is the Rock Band Strat. Activision has blocked the patch on the PS3 that will allow their Les Paul controller to be compatible with Rock Band. You'll either have to find someone else who has the full set, or wait for the individual peripherals to be released.

Anyone have any luck downloading the RB 360 theme allegedly available this weekend? My DL stops at 1%.
Also, is it just me or is there a big leap in difficulty between Medium and Hard? I can deal with the increased speed, and I could learn to deal with the orange note, but both of them together is challenging. I don't recall Easy to Medium being this much of a jump. Or I just suck.

Anyone need a bass player for their online band? I average between 97-100% on most all songs on medium level.

I think the orange button is easier if you shift your hand up to the second position and then reach down the fret board to green. On expert, I always play with my hand in second position. On hard, there is not as many orange notes so I can play either way.

I LOVE playing on hard. Expert is OK, but it seems a bit too tough for me at times. I can be in the high 90's on just about every song on hard, but as I enter the last set of expert, I have 2-3 5*'s, about 12 4*'s, and the rest are 3's. Hard is fun because (for me) it's very do-able, which makes it really fun to play.

I'm still at the point where Medium is the most fun for me. I don't think I have enough time to spend to get this good at Hard. I wish I did though.

How can you tell which version of the drums you have? I know everyone says that the QM set is the worst, but I dont know how to tell which set I have? Any help?

How can you assign just the bass to a character? I tried creating a bass-playing version of me but it just created another guitarist.

That's what it did for mine as well, I just always choose to play the bass.

Yeah, I'm anxiously awaiting the announcement as well. This is my first week as an owner and I've already downloaded $40 worth of earlier tracks which interested me.

Good man, i am about to do the same.. For the price, it seems so much more worth it than the meager GH III DLC since you get 4 tracks to play instead of just 2....

There's no motivation to 5* any of the songs achievements-wise. I was kinda bummed about that.

I take it I should be learning how to tap for solos during Moscow's tier on expert. Not even star power can save me thru some of those.

And it's been fun and challenging going thru BWT by myself on vocals and guitar.

Looks like they are "updating" the forums now, there is a Coming Soon graphic up. But I'm thinking all of the traffic was too much for the servers. I've had a hard time getting around on there all morning. It'll be interesting to see if anything has changed when it comes back.

If you mean HO/PO, they're not really a necessity. I use them as often as I can get away with. However, if you miss a note in one of these sequences, you have to strum again. So if it's a difficult sequence (like the zig-zags on GGaHT), I'll just strum the whole thing.

This week's DLC for $1.99 per song (160 Microsoft Points)

"Complete Control" by the Clash (master)

"Truth Hits Everybody" by the Police (master)

"Teenage Lobotomy" by the Ramones (master)

These songs can also be bought in a 3-song pack for $5.49 (440 Microsoft points)

A couple seconds too slow.. Heh. I'll update the DLC post now.

Of interesting note is the ability to be bought in a pack. I don't see a common theme to the three bands. Hopefully they'll implement the pack thing more often for the weekly tracks.

Thanks!

I'm a little disappointed that they keep using the same bands over and over, but this DLC is better than no DLC.

I am completely incapable of doing the hammer ons and pull offs. It is like my brain can't conceive of not needing to strum those notes. I fear i won't be able to even handle medium on guitar.
