I took out the #9 assassin last night and I'm really having fun with this game. I can't imagine this is going to sell well, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Why do I keep swinging my Wii-mote as if that's how I control my sword? I just can't keep myself from doing that.
Also, the tutorial told me to hold down the B-button for some shit, but holding it down does nothing - WTF

I mean, it's one thing to skimp on a manual when something cheaper would do, but in this case, they've excised something from the full package, not unlike taking out a cutscene from the actual game. All they had to do was replace the Kanji with a little English - heck, I could've done that...

I whopped on Assassin #7 last night (way easier than #8). I also got all the Kakoraki (sp?) Balls and dropped them off to the drunk Russian at the bar for some fun upgrades, especially the running while on foot option. I'm trying to get all of my friends with a Wii to try out the game, but no one is too interested

I took out #8 over the weekend. You guys were right, she's pretty tough even when you know her patterns and what you need to do. Her vocal samples are pretty grating as well, but that just makes it much more satisfying when you beat her.
I'm finding that the game works really well in relatively small pieces. I usually take out one of the assassins, explore the newly unlocked stuff, raise enough money for the next fight, and then save and quit. That way I can just jump right into the next major battle when I fire up the game again. It's making the game last longer, which is nice since I don't want to rush through it.

I got my copy on Friday! Still haven't had an opportunity to play it yet. But I tried to sell some of my friends on this purchase and they hadn't even heard of it. Guess I live in a DVDTalk bubble where this was the Wii event of the millennium!

Can someone translate the comic, if it hasn't already been done? Not scan it and overwrite the words or anything, just post translations of the word balloons?

I made it to Rank 4 over the weekend. This is one of those rare games that seems to get better and better as it goes on.. which is utterly remarkable in this case because the "core" of the game can easily become repetitious in other games. I think it works here because after each main assassination you get a new job and two new mini-assassinations.. plus, unless you spend all your money on clothes (like me), you shouldn't have to do more than a couple tasks to get to the next main assassination.
The rank 5 fight is so damn awesome!
The train ride on the rank 4 fight elevated this game beyond the stratosphere!

Yeah the consumerist in me has me buying new weapons, clothes and tapes all the time. Luckily some of the mini-assisnations are easy to do again for $30k-$40k.

Well shucks - I just can't get into this game. I'm sure it's just me. I'm not really "getting" the humor. Just seems repetitive.
I guess to Ebay it goes unless someone here is interested in my copy.

bunkaroo, I'm probably interested. How much you willing to sell for?
And how much is it in stores anyways??
I've been highly interested in the game, but haven't gotten around to buying it yet.

This game has kind of a weak engine (framerate drops in odd spots) but it's an oddly relaxing game. Very uhm erm.. Charming... personality.
For anyone with Gamefly, the keep it now price is currently $39.99.

I beat this Sunday before going to watch the Super Bowl.
The Rank 2 boss is now probably my favorite video game boss of all time. This is easily the awesomest, most satisfying game I've ever played. I'll be starting a new game probably immediately.. if only to show off the last half of the bosses to a friend of mine who won't get to play it herself.

I'm on number 5 right now and still am really enjoying it, although none of my friends believe how much fun the game is.

Although it's not available in Canada yet, I was able to rent a copy from a local independent game store last week. I've played it for about 8 and a half hours or so thus far and I just beat #6 tonight. I'm going to try to play more tonight, so hopefully I'll be at #4 or so, before I go to bed, but it's due back tomorrow. It's a phenomenal game, so I plan on buying it, but I might just wait until it drops in price. I'll probably just re-rent it tomorrow.
