do these older games have ANY resale value?

going through some of my boxes, and came across some older PC games. Do they have any sort of resale value, or is the trash the best place for them?

Doom, Doom2 and Quake.
A couple of the older EA Sports NHL Hockey versions (dating back to around 1993)
X-Wing, Tie-Fighter and some of the various add-ons.
Front Page Sports Football and Baseball 1997.

If I had to guess, I'd say probably not much value for the sports games. X-Wing and TIE Fighter may have more value, depending on their conditions (boxed, with instructions, etc.)... I saw a few eBay listings up to $25.

I'd recommend running through eBay to check the price climate and then decide.

No.

I do agree that, depending on the condition, X-Wing and Tie Fighter might generate some bids on Ebay.

But I kind of feel Doom and Quake will be a hard sell at this point, primarily because I often see these for free on abandonware sites. Again, if they come with a box, manual, etc. that could change things.

Give it away to a Goodwill/donation type place. You'll get to write off a few bucks on your taxes next year.

Man, I used to love the Front Page Sports annual baseball and football games. Too bad Sierra completely screwed the pooch about 7 years back and dropped the series.

Wal-mart sells a compilation pack of Doom, Doom 2, Ultimate Doom, and Final Doom altogether for $10. Used copies of those games would be worth almost nothing.

I would check ebay if some games are complete and in good condition. Otherwise I give old PC games to the Goodwill.

Sports games usually lose most value after the 1st year.

NHL 94 has a fan base, so you may be able to get a little for that.

Don't toss em. The second you toss em you will want to play them. I made that mistake.
