The sad part is I think I still want to try it out if I can snag it for under $10. It did look pretty bad though when I watched somebody play it at Fry's. He was running around trying to figure out what to do and just had the worst time.

PS3- White Knight Chronicles
I'll give the caveat that I only played a couple of hours into this game, which is only a small fraction of it, but what I saw didn't motivate me to get past that point. At least with the last Final Fantasy, I knew that there was a long tutorial phase, and you can kinda enjoy the mechanics before the system opens up... WKC had generic characters, a crappy, MMORPG-lite battle system, and you basically create your own character to be used in online play; the problem with that being that your character has very little to do but stand around in the background during the single player game.

More recently, Crackdown 2 may not be a bad game, but it's definitely wasn't worth a launch-day purchase. Talk about repetitive.

The first one that comes to mind is Metal Gear Solid 4. The game looked great and the gameplay was solid (pun!), but the cutscenes were absolute overkill for a story that made little sense. It's the only game I've played in recent years that was actually a chore to complete and when it was over, I just wanted those hours of my life back.

I also never got into the Phoenix Wright games on the DS. I gave the first one a shot and quit after a few hours of playing. Got the second one as a gift and decided to give the series another chance before quitting after less than an hour.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before someone complained about cut scenes. MGS4's cut scenes were even cooler since they had the little flashback/memories things you could see if you pressed a button.

Lost: The Game. I bought it for $5 at a clearance sale because I love the show, but the game is unplayable.

Infinite Undiscovery may not be the worst game ever, but is certainly the worst game I've played this generation -- and one the biggest POS's I've ever had the... "pleasure"... of slogging through.

Embarrassingly bad voice acting; generic characters; repetitive, generic gameplay; ugly art direction; empty, barren environments; nonsense story. The game is entirely half-assed and lazy, and if I had bought it at full price, I'd probably have quite gaming. Ugh.

The Double D Dodgeball XBLA game. I played a minute of the demo. I pity the person who spent 800 points on it.

I never tried it, but was tempted. Is it worth $14? I think I saw it on Amazon for that price, along with The Last Remnant which was garbage.

God, that was bad. It looked just like a 2600 game. I hope it's been delisted; I had totally forgot that one.

I suppose the XBLA Hall of Shame should include Rocky & Bullwinkle, the Chinese-made crap game Crazy Mouse and of course, everyone's least-favorite, Yaris.

I'm sure alot of you would disagree with me, but I'd like to add Portal to the list. I played it for 10 minutes before I turned it off for good. I can't understand why it got all the hype. I laughed maybe once.

I won't defend any of the other stinkers you've mentioned, but personally... I don't like JRPGs much, and I thought Eternal Sonata was pretty damn fun. And also very, very pretty.

I've played a lot of current gen games when I had a gamefly subscription and I think that Onichambra Bikini Squad game is the worst I've ever played. Yeah Iron Man was bad but at least I was able to gain some achievements..
