I think this is the time to grab Eye of Judgement for $54.99.

It appears he doesn't really know. I read elsewhere that it has a falcon mobo if the PSU is 175W vs the old 203W PSU and you can tell because the wattage of the PSU is on the sticker on the outside of the box. The theory is less required power = less heat = fewer RROD. Nice theory... hope it works out because I bought one. :D

bah, i'm getting mixed answers from lot numbers... so yeah, i don't know the definite answer to whether my X360 has the Falcon chip or not. The way to make sure you got the chip is open up and look for the wires or something. Anyhow, like i said, it has nothing to do with overheating. I barely play 40 minutes a day, not only that, maybe two or three times a week. From my BioShock and Gears progress, you can see that i don't play very much. The longest i ever used my X360 was watching Transformers (two hours something).

there is any easy way to tell if it is a falcon without opening the case.
Look at the box. If the power says 175 watts, then it is a falcon for sure.
If it is 203 watts, then it might or might not be a falcon.

Oyi, checked the box and it's 203 Watts... Chances are it's a non-Falconer, doh!
