Impulse Buy...Now What? (Guitar Hero Combo)

Stupid Black Friday sales got me.

I was in Wal-Mart picking up some food, and I saw that they still had some copies of Guitar Hero 1+2 combo PS2 for 39.84. Needless to say, I picked up a copy and am now trying to figure out what to do next.

I planned to get GH3 for Wii at some point, but in the big scheme of things, I don't mind turning my PS2 into a GH player...might even be good to get some use out of it.

So in my situation (own both GH and GH2 but no guitar), should I get GH3 for the PS2 with the wireless guitar, or should I just get a cheap wired guitar and pick up GH3 later when it's cheaper?

Found PS2 GHIII combo at DeepDiscount.com for $78...free shipping...no tax.

I think I'm gonna order it...may take a while, but I was planning to put it under the tree anyway.

All 3 games and a wireless guitar for $120 seems pretty fair to me...really looking forward to it.

I saw a few copies at Target today...box looked monstrous.

Guitar Hero seems a bit more accessible. We'll see how much I get into it.

Guitar Hero is the gateway drug for Rock Band.

Played Rock Band on Thanksgiving. Bought a 360 and GHII on Black Friday. I know someday Rock Band will be mine... the price just sucks.

I would argue in a way it's the other way around. With Rock Band you can choose to only do one of the instruments in a solo game, so if someone was more into singing or drums they have an option to play those modes. I'm terrible at Guitar Hero (and the guitar in RB) but I am great at the singing and decent at drumming in RB.
