I would remove rock band and god of war 2. Just because rock band isn't out and GOW 2 was to much like the first game. I'm not sure what I'd replace them with.

I really can't argue with the list. You could reorder it depending on tastes (I think Zelda is way too high), but all 10 of those games were pretty amazing.

Rock Band is just coming out, but all the reviews put it as a game of the year contender.

Their top 3 is my top 3 and probably in that order. (Well, Bioshock on the PC anyway)

No love for GHII or GHIII? Both came out this year.

I will never understand what make Super Mario Galaxy a great game, same as why Super Mario 64 is also considered one of the best games ever made. I don't know, never really got into it, I guess I am in the minority. Super Mario 3 is still the only Mario platformer I will play.

Zelda is too high, COD4 should be higher..like before Zelda..maybe even #4.

Its all subjective anyway, the list just looses some credibility when they include a game thats not even gonna be released (GoW2).

What? God of War 2 came out months ago. Were you thinking of Gears of War 2?

Ah too much COD4..no I was thinking of GoW for PSP..Chains of Olympus

Even though the port of GHII came out earlier this year for Xbox360, I am sure they consider that game a 2006 release since that was when it was originally released on PS2...

Glad to see God of War 2 on there. I almost forgot about it, it seems so long ago!

Good list.. pretty much all of the AAA games that came out.

Looks like Mass Effect is the deserving game getting left out. Otherwise a pretty fair list.

Good list, the top 2 are my top 2 as well, although I'm not sure which I would put first.

I would personally swap that one for Zelda, but either way the list is impressive. We could probably name a few other games deserving. It was a damn good year for gaming the more I think about it. Dare I say one of the best years ever for gaming?

Glad to see The Orange Box getting the second spot. It really is the best quantity and quality one can purchase.

Can't believe Mass Effect didn't make it tho'.

Too many first person shooters IMO. 5/10? Seriously?

Can't think of any of those that aren't deserving of their place on the list though :shrug:

Since Heavenly Sword was the greatest gaming experience I had this year I'd have to put it somewhere on the list. If I was making a personal list of the games I played I'd probably put near the top.
