I actually just found one on Saturday, I guess it was from my Halo 2 game. I wasn't going to even try it because it said it expired 03/31/05, but it worked. Try grabbing an old-ass XBox game and see if it has one in it.

I remember my new copy of XIII coming with a trial card back in 2004. I never used it and last year when I tried to get back on XBL it wouldn't work. Of course, it had expired some time before. A call to Microsoft only had a CSR confirm the code had expired and they couldn't help me out either. *sigh*
I ended up buying one off eBay and received the code thru e-mail. Although I didn't use it for another 2 months, the code turned out to be valid and what began as 2 months FREE on the original Xbox, I was able to transfer over to the 360 (Recover GamerTag) when I bought that system about a month later. It converted over to Gold Membership for the remainder of the trial. I wanted to retain my Gamertag, stats, etc.
