I just noticed alot of new cats around here from SA... weird.

I hit the only close one to me, the TRU on Blanco and they had lots of stuff I thought, but for some stupid reason, they had several copies of games and they had them turned backwards and told me they werent for sale and that it meant they were out of stock... huh? The had about 5 DK BB, but OOS? We said yea sure and that we'll get something for the same price, and expect us to make a return.

Anyone elses TRU do this?

I think those are the dumb display boxes, which are actually empty. They probably get tired of people asking if that game in the case is available, and just turn them around. Note that I have no idea why they have multiple copies of these display boxes, when they just keep them behind the glass anyway.

The tru near me has display boxes out for some games like gamestop while other games are just placed in anti theft cases.

New? Me? New?

Been 'round these parts a loooong time.

Me, darkside, jediwitz, and a few others all hit the same GameStop (and I've bumped into darkside a few times).

Nah not you and darkside, I know you two! When going through this thread and maybe other game ones I believe I saw at least 2 others that were unknown to me. From what you guys say, I will NEVER bump into you... living and shopping out there on the rich side of town!

I thought they were full of shit and looked at the guy with a face saying so cause my store has the games in those hard plastic cases out on the floor for sale as well as a bunch behind glass. WHy the fuck would they need display cases?

They need display cases for games that haven't come out yet or that they haven't received. Why they need half a dozen of them instead of just one, I have no idea. Next time, you should ask to see the case, it'll be pretty apparent which ones are real and which ones are just display cases.
