I played these way back on the Amiga and then later on the NES. Great games.

If you're familiar with them, can you think of anything available now that would be fun and similar?

Check out Sam & Max on GameTap or Steam for the PC. The DS also has a lot of these type of games, Phoenix Wright, Touch Detective, Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk are the ones I can name off the top of my head.

I remember playing these on my family's first generation Macintosh. In glorious black and white! My favorite was Shogun (cause it had boobies!)

There are quite a few point and click adventures on the DS. Hotel Dusk comes to mind as one that would be similar in tone to the games you've named.

I played through Shadowgate (on the NES), but not the other 2. But I do remember them.

I think glorious black and white is far better than what the early DOS games looked like. Reminded me why I chose to buy an Amiga at the time....

It looks like I'll be picking up a DS pretty soon I think.

I actually own Shadowgate for the NES but I haven't played it in years. I can't even remember the last time I had my NES hooked up. Deja Vu and Uninvited I've heard of, but never played.

I remember these quite well from my days as a game tester for a small disk duplication company in Morton Grove, IL. I played each of these games on first Mac, Atari ST and the Amiga. They were all publish by Mindscape at the time.

Ah such sweet memories
