Oh my god, I have to get up every ten hours or so of gameplay and switch discs? The world is coming to an end!

If a game is non-linear (Sandbox games, racing) the increased space can be better utilized and having Blu-ray is definitely useful. Of course in the case of a linear RPG, it's easy to switch discs once you have completed part of the story up to that disc's capacity.
