Transformers: The Game
 

Fuck this game. What I should say is fuck this shitty, shitty game. Spider-Man 3 is a masterpiece compared to this cluster-fuck. I wonder if the game developers would just sit at their stations and laugh at what a piece of shit they were making? They can't have thought they were making a decent game. They may have thought, "Fuck it, it is based a Michael Bay film so we'll give them the video game equivalent." But come on guys, doesn't personal pride come into it at all? The controls are shit, the fighting mechanics are shit, the missions are even more fucking shit. I suspect this game will be the number cause of world-wide suicide for at least 6 months. Personally, I would rather nail my scrotum to my seat with rusty nails than to even look at the cover of this crapfest again.

Congratulations, Traveller's Tales. You just made the Pearl Harbor of video games.

What console were you playing this on? I played it on the PS2 and felt like punching myself in the face. I couldn't help wondering if the next gen consoles somehow made it playable.

I hope you did not get Vampire Rain too. Playing Transformers and Vampire Rain back to back would make any normal man want to commit suicide. :)

I haven't even passed the first autobot and decepticon levels before shelving it.

The only, and I mean only, redemption this game has going for it is that the Transformations don't completely suck.

No kidding. I bought it after my 15 year old nephew told me it was awesome and immediately after I saw the movie. I fucking hate this game more than any game I've bought in recent memory. I quit after playing one Autobot and one Decepticon level. This game just flat out sucks.

I've got it for the PS3. The answer is no.

It's your own fault for buying a movie tie-in.

The frustrating thing about playing the game (and I'm playing through, trying to get the achievements) is that it had the potential to be SO much better. But shitty controls for the vehicles, redundancy in the missions, and ridiculously difficult boss battles (see: Blackout vs. Ironhide) take away from it.

Seeing Shockwave was cool, though.

As bad as you may think this game is, the PSP and DS version are even worse.

That's a given, but doesn't change the fact that this game is absolutely painful to play...even for a movie tie-in.

And the DS version is split into two different games!

I was considering picking it up at TRU with the buy 1 get 1 free on select Activision games, but I guess I won't now. It's funny, before they were released I would have though getting Spiderman 3 and Transformers games for half off would've been a steal.

Fuck me. I just bought this game off of Ebay. Goddamn it, why couldn't I have seen this thread two days ago? Guess I won't even open it and try to pawn it off on some other self-deprecating carbon unit.

PS - I ONLY bought it cuz the movie was pretty kick ass - the concept seemed impossible to fuck up. Im stupid.

I've asked this before and I'll ask it again, how can companies release bad games like this?

I would say just on Fincher Fan's reaction to the game, that the game is an instant classic! :sarcasm:

The game isn't that bad. I've played worse movie tie-ins.

I bought the two DS games at TRU today, I'm glad I read this before I opened them.

Darn. And here I was upset cos I couldn't get a PS2 copy at work. My friends who bought it all told me they loved it. :confused:
