Nunchuks are $20
Wii Play is $50

So $50 extra? I'd still say it would be worth it if it weren't for the SD card. $40 for a card that you can get for $10(a non-Nintendo brand one). I'd say return the memory card, you won't need it anyway unless you get Excite Truck down the line.

So get $40 back and then you are only out $10. Right?

Yeah, I would. It's kinda difficult to get to Wal-mart in Philly, so I am not sure if I'll return it. I didn't realize the SD card wasn't required, I thought it saved games to it. Had I known that, I would have bought the Wii Points card as most of the other accessories are kinda junk (overpriced component cables & Wii stands).

Btw, if anyone wants this bundle is in stock again at http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5303671 . Move quick!

Ahh. Definitely should have gone the WiiPoints or Component Cable route instead of the memory card. Oh well, live and learn. ;)

You can back up your saves, but that is about it. Like I said, Excite Truck uses it for custom soundtracks, which is well worth it because the soundtrack is terrible. Elebits may use it for custom built levels, but I'm not sure about that one.

This must be a new bundle on Walmart.com because I didn't see it yesterday...

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=3611017

The price seems fair for what is included in it and shipping was only $5.97 for the entire thing! Best of all, it seems my order went through. However, literally ten seconds later I checked that link and it's now showing out of stock.

I still have yet to see one in stock in a store.

I wish my Costco carried them. They've got the PS3, PS2, Xbox360, DS Lite and PSP, but no Wiis. :(

Well that bundle I ordered yesterday is no where to be found today on Walmart's website. And if I click on my order status I get a "Technical Difficulties" error message. I'm starting to be concerned.

Although I still don't think the shortage is behind us, last week I had no Nintendo Wiis and this week I have two! First I managed to order a game bundle that stayed in stock on Walmart.com for literally five minutes. It finally arrived the other day even though the order always read "Technical Difficulties" on my account. Then I returned all the stuff in the bundle I didn't need to Walmart and the lady (why I'll never know) even refunded my shipping!

Then my mother who lives six hours away in Martinsburg, WV called me to say that Walmart allowed her to put her name on a waiting list. She was only fourth on the list and their stock of Wiis came in today. (Incidentally, no Walmart in my area would let me do this.)

So now I have a Wii for my daughter this Christmas, and another Christmas Wii for my nieces and nephew! (By the way, if anyone wants to get one now for Christmas, you can register it with Nintendo and extend the warranty an additional 90 days.)
