XBOX Live Connection Problem
 

In the last couple of days, I have not been able to connect to xbox live. In testing the connection, it always fails at MTU, although the details page is always blank.

Up to this point, I haven't had any problems connecting and have not changed anything in my configuration. My router hasn't changed, and I've tried resetting both the router and my cable modem. I've also gone into the router settings and changed MTU from Auto to Manual with a value of 1450. None of this had any affect.

Has anyone experienced this before or know what may be causing the problem?

Have you connected directly to your modem? This would at least isolate the problem to your router.

Very strange. I haven't been able to connect for the past 3 days with that error. But after I booted up today, it connected just fine.

I can try going straight to the cable modem, but since it's working now, I would suspect that would work as well. I'll have to see if it goes back to failing again. And I haven't touched any of the configuration since last night. ???
