COD 2 & 3 MP question?

Last night I glance at my friends list to see who was playing what and was surprised to see three or four playing COD-2. A few days earlier I saw three or four playing COD-3. All this time I thought COD-3 was the MP game of the two.

I picked up COD-2 two months ago, which I have since finished it, to start at the beginning and based on what many said was a better game. However many said COD-3 had the edge due to MP and at the time was probably going to get more maps.

I thought of picking up COD-3 this week since it's on sale but may hold off with Forza 2 and Shadowrun just released and Dirt out next week plus The Darkness around the corner. Is COD-2 a once-in-awhile thing for MP or does COD-3 have a better chance to get more MP with all the maps lately? With all these new games coming it may not matter till COD-4 hits.

If you're asking about our group (and I assume you are). We do not play COD3. But we have been known to play COD2 from time to time. Be sure to download ALL the maps [cough]nole[/cough]

The 2 maps I do not have shold be FREE by now. I can't see buying them this late in the games life. COD2 is still a great MP experience even without them.

Well I just checked XBL marketplace and there are two map packs. One Invasion a 5 map pack is 800 points and the other Skirmish is a 2 map pack for 200 points. From what I saw these were released this time last year.
