Wrathchild! This had better be available on the 360.

It sort of makes me wish they would've done two different releases, one for 80s metal/hard rock and another for 80s new wave/punk.

Throw in some some other stuff like "Photograph" by Def Leppard, "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC, "Raining Blood" by Slayer...

And on the new wave/punk one do "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash, "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure, etc.

Honestly, as excited as I am for some new songs in between GH2 and 3, and I think they've got a good list put together, I can't shake a little disppointment that there isn't a bigger title like "Crazy Train" or a Van Halen tune or something. Granted, the full list isn't out, but I'd imagine that if there were something bigger to be announced, it would have made the back of the pre-order box. With the current list (great stuff, mind you), I don't know how excited I'm going to be to drop the $50.

Don't get me wrong though, since I will.

Does the PS2 guitar even work with a PS3? It would need an adapter.

There is an adapter made by Pelican that works with GH controllers.

From everything I've read, it's not fully compatible...

I've got one, but haven't tried it with GH since I bought it on the 360.

Yeah, from reviews that adapter doesn't work very well, is a pain to set up etc.

Okay, two more songs on top of what was added last week:

What I Like About You (as made famous by The Romantics)
Ballroom Blitz (as made famous by Kronkus)

Um, interesting.

Also, the Maiden, Anthrax, and Scorpions tunes are all covers, Mordred. Sorry. There are only 3 master tracks so far (I Ran, The Warrior, and I Wanna Rock)

Additionally, Gamespy.com has new gameplay videos of Seventeen, Caught in a Mosh, Wrathchild, and Turning Japanese.

Eh, I'm just not terribly excited about that list. Only a few songs that I'd say I actually like and quite a few I've never heard of, and I grew up in the 80s.

I'm probably just going to wait for GH3. A wireless guitar for my 360 is really the only way I want to play the game anymore.

I can't wait to play Electric Eye. I wonder if that will include Hellion with it? That would rock. I think this might be my favorite track list for a Guitar Hero game so far. It looks like a lot of fun.

Edit: According to Gamespy, Electric Eye is a master track and includes Hellion! That's awesome!

I would say there's about 19 of those songs that I know and am looking forward to playing. Can't wait!

How many of you who had/have the PS2 versions of GH1 & 2 got the 360 version? I'm trying to figure out whether I should get GH3 for 360 (along with the guitar) or just keep going with the PS2 versions...

Rock Band!!!

I'm going with Rock Band for 360, and gme-only versino of Gh3 for 360 as well. Definately the better choice, as at least the 360 has the option of DLC.

I bought GH2 for PS2 about 2 months before the 360 version came out and still double dipped for it on 360. Definately worth it IMO, mainly because of the achievements.

I have GH 1 and 2 and 3 guitars for my PS2, but I'll probably ditch them all for GH3 on the 360 (and probably Rock Band, but we'll see how that ends up.)

I have GH 1 and 2 for PS2 with 2 guitars. I bought GH2 again for 360 and 2 guitars. I like the added tracks on the 360, achievements, and leaderboards. I've kept the PS2 around for Rock the 80's. Won't need it if they ever bring it to 360.

I'll probably just get just the game for GH3. I'm getting Rock Band for sure. Harmonix is making Rock Band, so I have more faith in that game. Hopefully they'll give out some more info for that game soon.

This setlist = (LOVE the inclusion of X's Los Angeles, and thank goodness they didn't go with Wild Thing for another cross-decade cover)

This setlist for $50 = kind of frustrating. Apparently, "Because, it's Midnite" was set to be the 31st song, unlocked when the rest was completed. Now that "I Want Candy" is out, there is apparently no bonus song at all.
