I'm not entirely certain, but I think they're cars that aren't available through Career, and only available in the auction house. I don't know if there's any way to specifically find out what the unicorn cars are.

The ones I know of are:

Cheverolet Camaro 35th Anniversary
Lotus Exige Espionage
Mitsubishi 2000 Lancer EVO 6 TME.

Just for a heads-up, one of the Camaros is up to over 2.5M with almost an hour left to go.

There are like 3 models that are only available everyday. Turn 10 puts 5 of each car up at the same time, for I believe 24 hours.

EDIT: THis 1st on is up to 3.5 million with 40 min to go. The low is 600k, but I am sure they will skyrocket near the end.

Well, amazon just sent an e-mail saying that Dirt won't ship to me until 7/18, so I assumed the release date had been postponed. But then I looked at ebgames.com and they had it listed as the usual "shipping in 24 hours". Does anyone know if the game was released? Anyone seen it in stores?

I made him check the system. He said it comes out TODAY for Vista, so I had him check it for the 360 as well.

His shipment doesnt arrive until 1-3, est. I went in today to get Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, but apparently that was in the same shipment Dirt was so I actually had to run to Best Buy to get it.

No problem either way.

As soon as I received my 360 from repairment yesterday, I downloaded the demo of DiRT and it's AWESOME, but difficult to control the vehicles (I used the controller, not steering wheel).

It got me wondering about 360's steering wheel - is it good? Does it help lot on any vehicle races?

The people on the Forza site swear by it.

There are even threads on bearing mods to make it even smoother.


I still use the controller, mostly because I don't want a "driving table" in the living room! :lol:

I had an offer to trade for the mad catz wheel, but I want one with paddle shifters. Best case scenario, I get one of the 1st party wireless ones

I have MadCatz steering wheel for Xbox, but I'm not happy with it. :shrug: I wonder how good is Microsoft's 360 steering wheel.

I think XBOX has the only wheel with FF, if that is what you are looking for. I think this is why people are getting it instead of the Logitech.

I have tried the wheel in the past, on GT for PS@. It was a cheap 3rd party, and kinda ruined the whole thing for me.

PLus I like to play after dinner for a bit, and I don't want to "set stuff up" although with wireless, it may not be too bad.

What I don't like about Madcatz's steering wheel is they use spring to "force" the steering back "straight". It kinda ruin the NASCAR racing I have been playing on Xbox. What they need to make a steering that real car steers.

I have the Xbox 1st-party wheel and I wouldn't play without it anymore.

It takes some getting used to, but once you do it is a lot easier than the controller.

HIGHLY recomended.

My hand really starts to cramp after two or three races. I'd really like to get the MS wheel. I've read some pretty good reviews.

i haven't had any problems like cramping when I play.

I do realize it would be easier to take a corner smoothly with a compentent wheel

I'm so used to it on NASCAR racing on Xbox with controller. Perhaps it's time for me to try MS steering wheel. Probably good time to buy one with NASCAR 08 coming to 360 next month (or ?).
