Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

http://www.lucasarts.com/games/legostarwarssaga/

Game Info

Building on the success of both LEGO® Star Wars™ "block-buster" videogames, LEGO® Star Wars™: The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. Developer Traveller's Tales takes full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles, while also adding new characters, new levels and new features. Players can build and battle this fall on the Wii™, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360™ videogame system from Microsoft. Traveller's Tales is also creating an entirely new Nintendo DS™ version, developed brick by brick from the ground up.

Features

* Families can commemorate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars by playing through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever.

* Solve puzzles that encourage creative thinking through the use of teamwork and unique building situations only possible in a LEGO galaxy far, far away.

* Adds new levels, new characters and new features to the fun, creativity and tongue-in-cheek humor that made LEGO® Star Wars™: The Video Game and LEGO® Star Wars™ II: The Original Trilogy such huge hits.

* New levels, such as Episode II's never-before-played high-speed pursuit of bounty hunter Zam Wessell, further complete the entire Star Wars story.

* New playable characters like Watto, Zam Wessell, Boss Nass and more bring the total count to over 160.

* The upgraded Character Customizer includes all Prequel Trilogy characters for the first time, while also expanding its customization options well beyond those in LEGO Star Wars II, for millions more possibilities. Create cross-Trilogy mash-up characters like Han Windu and Lando Amidala.

* New game features include enhanced Force powers, new power-ups, and a new Challenge Mode.

* Levels from the original LEGO Star Wars are revamped to meet the gameplay evolutions of LEGO Star Wars II.

* For the first time, every Prequel Trilogy character -- even those without the Force -- can build, as well as jump into and out of the vehicles they create.

* Redesigned "Mos Espa Podrace" and "Gunship Cavalry" levels now encourage the open vehicle gameplay of LEGO Star Wars II.

* New bonus levels and 10 additional Bounty Hunter Missions offer new challenges in the Prequel Trilogy.

* Enhancements for every platform:
* Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3: The LEGO Star Wars premiere of online two-player co-op lets families play together from anywhere in the world for the first time.
* Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3: New high-resolution LEGO models and characters, along with new environment graphics and special effects, create visuals unparalleled by any other LEGO galaxy far, far away.
* Wii: Motion-sensitive inputs give you exciting new ways to control your LEGO Star Wars characters.
* Nintendo DS: Created from the ground up by Traveller's Tales, this version incorporates exclusive touch-screen action and challenges.
* Peek behind the scenes with the bonus video "The Building of LEGO Star Wars."
At first, it sounds like the two existing games combined into one, but they may have made enough changes and improvements to it to make it worth checking out. . .

PixyJunket 05-24-07 02:07 PM

I bought the other two at $15, so maybe for that price I'll grab this if the Wii controls sound good.

Michael Corvin 05-24-07 02:14 PM

but will this have all new achievements? :)

Overall, still a bitch move. A game that begs for online co-op is left out and then put in a re-release. Weak.

KurrptSenate 05-24-07 02:18 PM

sounds like the 2 previous titles in one, with very few new features

The Bus 05-24-07 02:25 PM

As tedious as it was to get some of the achievements previously, this could be a fun rental.

eatntae 05-24-07 02:37 PM

Hmm, I guess I'm lucky that I lagged on getting LSW2 on 360.

darkside 05-24-07 02:39 PM

I will be buying this. I skipped the first game, but would love to play through it will all the enhancements of the second one. Please, please don't fuck up the PS3 version.

Bluelitespecial 05-24-07 02:42 PM

Deso this mean we won't be getting a ps2 version, I guess this a way for people to start buying into the PS3.

Groucho 05-24-07 02:49 PM

I never played the first two games, but this sounds good (unless it's a full-priced title, then I'll wait).

Um, no.. it's just the two "last-gen" games on one disc for the "next-gen" systems. If you've never played them before, they can both be had for $30-$40 new, combined. If you have.. it's hardly any reason to consider upgrading.

Yavin 05-24-07 03:29 PM

Surely they'll fix the bugs/glitches in the game(s) when they re-release them as a combined package, right? I mean, now that they have the time, that would make sense. The DS version of LSWII was apparently a glitchfest (reason why I exchanged my copy for something else), but I also heard that there were some issues with the other platforms as well.

Yeah.. I can vouch that the Xbox version of LSWI was a frequent lock-up fest. I exchange for the GameCube version when it finally came out and it seemed to be solid. I've heard of glitches in LSWII for the consoles but haven't played through all of it yet.

Matt 05-24-07 03:40 PM

You guys think that the Original Trilogy section of this game will be identical to last year's stand-alone game? I never bought LSWII, so I'm wondering if maybe I should just wait and get this Saga game instead. . .

Josh H 05-24-07 03:42 PM

Looks like no online for the Wii version. Will probably hold off and see if I end up picking up a 360 down the road.

I played the first one, but never got the second as it's honestly only fun in co-op and I seldom had anyone over that wanted to play such a "kiddy" game. -rolleyes-

edstein 05-24-07 04:15 PM

You can download all of the characters from the first game in the 360 version of the game. Sure you don't have all of the levels but it as least adds to the game play. I'll skip this title.

Jtnguyen12 05-24-07 04:21 PM

I'll pickup if the MSRP $29.99 instead $49.99. Lucky i had 1st game and still looking for good deal on 2nd. Seem like i must hold back for the collection :)

All of the SW Lego games for all of the systems were $18 at bestbuy.com last week. I picked up SWII for that price.

This is one of those times where the content is already on the disc. All they do is sell you a $2 key to unlock them. Bitches.

Supermallet 05-24-07 05:53 PM

This pisses me off. I bought both games and then like an idiot paid for the LSWI characters on the 360. If this is a budget title, I suppose I'll trade in my current games and bite on it. Otherwise, forget it.

lordwow 05-24-07 06:24 PM

I might buy this for $10.

Decker 05-24-07 06:30 PM

Figures, I bought LSW II last week for $15. I'm enjoying it and my daughter likes to play a little with me. I forget : is LSW I b/c with the 360?

I have no problem paying full price for this. I never owned either, but I've played the 2nd. If you buy both of the originals it'd cost you about $40 new.

$50 for both and new additions sounds reasonable to me.

Drexl 05-24-07 08:29 PM

I'll probably get this since I never got any of the previous games.

Ispep Aloc 05-25-07 12:33 PM

This is good news. I've always liked the Lego Star Wars Series. Has the freezing been fixed from the 360 Lego Star Wars 2? Couldn't finish up the Last Level undefeated for the achievement because it would keep freezing up.

You need to turn off the rumble feature on your controller.
