Xbox Microsoft Points Question
I bought a card with 1600 points on it today. I went on Xbox Live and inputted trhe 25 digit code on the back of the card. A message came up saying that it was not a valid number. I checked it a number of times and it still wouldn't work. Is there anything i might be doing wrong? I looked on the back of the card and it said for use only in the US. Well i am in the US, but i thought maybe when i initially setup the 360 i might have inputted the wrong country by mistake. Is there anyway that i can run the setup process again? Will my profile be affecting redeeming the points? Is there anyway that i can edit my profile? Also does the profile require a hotmail account whenever you create one?
Any help or suggestions are appreciated. If someone could post a Microsoft number as well just in case. |
You can edit it in Dashboard Setting. You should be able to edit about anything. I wish I can double check but my stupid replacement 360 fucked up. :(

Well i checked it again. When i look at the section where it says i can buy more points online the prices come up in pounds sterling. So i have obviously set the country as the United Kingdom (where i am from) instead of the USA where i now live. Please can anyone direct me to where i can change this setting? I am new to the 360 so still getting used to the pages....which page should i look at?

Can't get to my Xbox right now, but isn't there a Change Locale in the System blade? Or you could always choose Initial Setup from the System blade, which I believe runs you through the initial setup from the first time you turned on your Xbox. I'm not sure if Initial Setup will delete profiles or anything though.
