Any word on a DS Lite version of the rumble pack? I remember hearing that Nintendo was planning to release a smaller one that fit the Lite, but I haven't seen anything else about it.

the reason i started this thread.. was because my brother in law gave my son a rumble pak for his ds lite.. but none of griffin's games support it

his grandma got him Diddy Kong Racing DS tonight, so he can try the rumble pak.. seems to work pretty well

When those rumors surfaced the only way to get the rumble pak was with Metroid: Pinball. Since that time they have started selling the rumble separate, so I doubt we will see a new one anytime soon.

There's this one:

A cheaper, quieter Rumble Pak

Third-party, but it might be alright--around ten bucks, quieter than the Nintendo version, and available in several different colors.

I was hoping someone around here had already bitten on one. . .

It's really piece of junk, eats more battery and i personally don't see any enhancement in game playing on the DS. Trust me, it's fresh in the beginning, but then you get bore with it (fast!). Oh, of course, i said this partially b/c i got a DS lite, never tried it on the Ds fat, so i could be wrong (but then again, probably worse on the fat )

Oh, the rumble pack sticks out on the DS lite, the sight of it makes me want to take it out...

I thought the Rumble Pack was more of a distraction. Completely worthless IMHO. I still got my $20 worth from Metroid Pinball though.

Or you can pick up Metroid: Pinball for $9.99 on clearance at Toys R Us and get it AND a game!

Right, but the Rumble Paks included with Metroid Pinball--aren't they the original versions, for the original DS?

Think I'd be more-interested in getting the DS Lite model, even with the good deal at TRU. . .
