Nicely done. I actually got first place finally with a 3 in edging. Of course, I went as slow as mallasses, but still made the time. Now that I've scored in all events, I would love to be able to play slope 2. La de dah!

Yeah, I'm able to get first place with a 1 in edging. It's a little more annoying but certainly possible. The stats don't make that much of a difference. Enjoy peak 2. I just beat the magnum opus tournament or whatever it's called. The instructions mention some super secret platinum tournament. I'll try getting gold on all the tournaments as I got silver on two of them. That should hopefully unlock it.

I just noticed yesterday that you can smack the snowflakes around on the menus. Kind of fun during the few seconds it takes to load.

Isn't it based on your Wii settings? If you have your Wii setup to be widescreen, then don't all games automatically switch to widescreen mode?

Yeah, I checked that and it's set for 480p and 16:9. I'm also using the Nintendo component cables.

I'm renting the game. I've having trouble carving right. Actually it seems like it doesn't recognize my right-carve (tilting nunchuck) at all!

I just got this game and I think it's amazing! My girlfriend was doing ubertricks and making 1st place in races after just a few tries, and I was able to win races (1st place) after just a few tries also.

I wonder if the tutorials make people overthink it? We just dove straight in and are having a blast. Personally I think the controls are brilliant. I also think the graphics are fine (looks much better than 1080, although 1080 itself is no slouch either) and the music is really great (JunkieXL!). The design of the menus is also really nice.

Forget the tutorials people and just start playing!

Totally agree with you. Uber's took me a little while to figure out but the game is great. Carving feels fluid and it just seems more immersive.
