I'm switching back to "buying games at a discount" --- for that to happen realistically, I need to sit out of buying games for 6+ months. Next new game full-price game I'm getting is going to be Wario Ware Smooth Moves and maybe Lost Planet. I'd like to check out Dead Rising, Vegas, GoW, etc. but I'm not paying $50 for it. Same for a lot of Wii games.

My Most disapointing games of 2006

1- Madden on 360 (the last gen version of this game is still better. pathetic)
2- Dead Rising (360) - was fun for about 10 minutes

That's what sales are for, Vegas was $39.99 at Best Buy and Circuit City (Sun & Mon) Last week. Gears of War has been on sale numerous times tho more limited (lowest I've seen is $44.99), and Dead Rising has hit $39.99 as well. Tho I guess that still is a tad pricey (I'm a fan of the $20 - $30 zone myself.)
