Cool seeing a Goldstar in there. I was probably one of the few that bought the 3DO here in the U.S., hehehe. I will say though Road Rash and Need 4 Speed both got there start on it and I owned both. Cool games and a cool system that was priced way beyond its time.
Neat auction... |

Neat auction... Sad that there is no Sega CDX in there. Still one of my all time favorite pieces of hardware. JVC really built a great little system. Ton of cool stuff in there. If I owned all that I would probably take it to my grave. |

Actually, it appears that there is what I know as a Fairchild Channel F in there. I'm not sure if it's a version manufactured by somebody else or just has a German name I don't know...

If I owned all that I would probably take it to my grave. I remember many nights playing "Mad Dog II: The Lost Gold" and the other live action shooting gallery style games on the 3DO. Those and one called "The Incredible Machine" & a terrible EA game "Escape from Monster Manor". The original "Alone In the Dark", "Cannon Fodder" and so on, lolol. Gotta stop, lol. I could talk 3DO games all day. |
No original atari lynx, no C64GS, no sale.

The 3D0 was probably one of my favorite consoles growing up. A few friends and myself played Alone in the Dark the entire summer until we finally finished it! Sadly, someone stole the system and games from me a long time ago and the only thing I have left is the demo disc.
|
Some of my favorite games were played on the 3DO.
Star Control 2 Return Fire Captain Quazar Casper (one of the best licensed games I ever played) D Lucien's Quest Policenauts Shockwave Street Fighter II Turbo Wing Commander III 3DO despite its faults managed to put out quite a few gems. |
No Atari 5200, no thanks. That was the main system I remeber growing up with since my parents never got me the 2600. Before the 5200 all we had was the Odyssey and I would play Atari at my friends house.
|
It's too bad the Turbo-Grafx 16 in the auction is the US version. The Euro version is EXTREMELY rare.
|
I actually have a Panasonic 3DO with almost every single North American 3DO game ever made, I bought it from some dude who was obsessed with the 3DO. He sold that, along with eight un-opened controllers and a huge stack of magazine clippings that referenced the 3DO...Yea, he was just a bit obsessed. ;)
With that said, no 32x means NO SALE! :) |
Of all the systems that have come out over the last 30 years I think the one I miss the most is the Colecovision. That was one cool as system with great looking fun games. I mean hell, forget about Backwards compatible...they straight up made an adapter for Atari games!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colecovision The other old system I miss is the Turbo Grafx. |
Woah! I didn't realize there were this many game consoles. Are these all game consoles in that they have a catalog of games designed for the specific consoles or are some of these the type that have 'built-in' games and do not support a removable medium?
|
I can speak only for the Fairchild system I mentioned: it was both a console and featured two built in games (pong and hockey).
|
Yeah, I didn't think there were that many consoles either. Kinda surprised there's no Nintendo 64 I guess that's one a bit newer.
