yea, i picked up on that (the whole Napster thing)
I was just stating that, in case someone was interested in learning the real songs after playing guitar hero.
I played guitar before I picked up guitar hero, and I was actually interested enough to learn the real songs (like bark at the moon and cowboys from hell)
surprisingly, i find it easier to play on a real guitar, than on the plastic one

Yeah - I've been playing guitar and bass for 15 years and I find the plastic guitar to be exponentially more challenging. I also found that my previous experience is of little help.

hahaha
honestly, I saw it the other way. I remember having problems with the timing on one of the Rob Zombie songs (chugging rhythm) because I was relying eyes processing the information, instead of my ears. I actually remembered thinking "HEY RETARD, you play guitar" and I picked it up without a problem.
As far as reference points, you're right. It really doesn't help

Well, I've only been at it for a couple of days - I have managed to impress my roommates by completing the game on medium, but I guess I wish I had an extra finger for the tougher levels. My left hand gets lost easily even though the yellow key has a nub on it.

The bass parts would actually be more interesting

Tool's Parabol/Parabola would be a good choice.

Realistically, they wouldn't be able to get Led Zeppelin or Metallica licensing. I believe they also tried to get Iron Maiden but couldn't. I'm sure there are a few more that would be difficult due to the record company or the band or whoever owns the rights. But who knows, perhaps with more popularity...
