But still not on the 360. Let's let this thread die.

come on. It says it clear as day right there:

KONAMI has decided to delay the title's release in order to make further improvements to the quality of the game and provide even greater enjoyment for more customers worldwide.
If that doesn't mean it's coming to 360 I don't know what does.

Further improvements to the quality? Hmm... more overly lengthy cutscenes?

I hope they are writing more comlink cutscenes into the game. Its like reading a book in the middle of a videogame.

I'd seriously be shocked if MGS4 never comes to the 360. I'd count on it being later than the PS3 version, but with the sheer number of Xbox360 consoles out there - it'd be financial suicide to miss out on that.

I don't think Sony has the coin to keep it exclusive forever. Also the more delays mean the more production cost they have to recoup. I'd say it hits 360 by the end of fall 08.

Wouldn't it be something if the 360 gets the inevitable "Substance" version but the PS3 doesn't...

Funny. There's a discussion about this announcement over on cheapassgamer, and folks over there are scrutinizing the wording and coming to the same conclusion that MGS4 may be coming to the 360.

How come no one ever assumes Konami plans to release this for the PC?

The rumor mill turns again...

http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/01...r-ps3-release/

It wouldn't be the New Year without some juicy rumor talk and today it's all about the Metal Gear Solid 4. According to XboxFamily, they claim to have spoken with a Konami distribution rep who confirmed that MGS4 has been in development on the 360 since early 2007 and that it will release 12-14 months after the PS3 version. XboxFamily is pretty confident in the credibility of their Konami insider, but you can color us unimpressed. To us it's just more MGS4 coming to the Xbox 360 talk, another rumor we can add to the ever increasing list we already have and all we want is Konami to speak up. We give it another six weeks until the next MGS4 rumor surfaces.

So if it comes out for PS3 this spring/summer, then it won't come out on the 360 until spring/summer 2009. I bet by then we will have seen the first rumblings of the Xbox 720 and nobody will care about MGS4 on the 360 anymore.

Microsoft keeps planting this rumor over, and over, and over and over. They want people to not jump to a PS3 to play this game, but it will NOT be coming to the 360. The game is 50 Gigs, has 7.1 PCM Lossless audio and would simply take 10 or more DVDs to fit. Remember, Xbox 360 games can never go over 6.5 gigs in size due to their custom copy protection, so they can never be fully utilized DVD9s. Plus, you will need redundant information like textures, audio, etc on each discs, so good luck with that.

Do you honestly think Metal Gear Solid is a system seller like a Halo is? Personally, I don't believe it is. Who cares what the tech specs are? I've seen many a game on the Xbox 360 that are far superior on the eyes than what the PS3 churned out.

So, I need to know. How does Sony bullshit taste, cause it seems you gobbled it all up?

Definitely not on the same level as Halo, but c'mon, not every game can be Halo-selling status. There are (myself included) people waiting for this game to hit on PS3 to buy one. I do agree that it's not gonna have Halo numbers.

It's not, but do to a lack of exclusives on the PS3 the current audience will eat it up. It may do big numbers but I doubt we will see a huge influx of PS3 sales the month it comes out. Why would the 4th release in a franchise suddenly be a system seller when none of the previous releases have been? It's a complex stealth movie game which doesn't appeal to everyone. It will do decent and four weeks later everyone will still be wondering where Sony's system seller is.

IMO, the only legitimate "system-seller" for the PS3 would be a Final Fantasy game. Everything else big enough has gone to the 360 as well.

This is a speculation thread. The tone of your post is definitely trolling in nature. I think everyone's quite aware that this may never hit the 360 but are hoping that it will. Unless you have sources to back up that it will definitely be NOT coming to the 360, you can tone your posts down a bit.

Please do not engage in personal conversations like this in the forums. It doesn't contribute to the thread and when it continues, it typically results in personal attacks or thread closures.

Thanks both for your cooperation.

Wow, just the other day we had the whole Ocelot thing in the 360 forum go down and no one says anything about it, yet every time I say something to some one it seems like I get reprimanded.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was released on the gamecube. So I wouldn't be surprised if the 360 eventually gets a final fantasy game of some sort.

MGS is great, but you are 100% correct. And I believe there are about 15 Final Fantasy (or it seems like it ) games in development, some of which are on the 360.

Wha-wha-what?

Show me where a FF game is confirmed for the 360...that's news to me. If it's true, you just made my year.
