Xbox Live starter kit w/ past activate by date?
I recently purchased a 3-Month Live starter kit for the Original Xbox and have now noticed that there is a "Acivate By 9/30/2005" date on the box, but not the card. I did not want to scratch and reveal the code in case I need to return it to the store.
I called XBox Live support and they basically said that I would either have to give them the code to check if it will work or return it to the store. As it only cost me $10 I would like to see if anyone has any suggestions. Is there any way to get round the past activation date?

I've read reports that in cases like this, Xbox Live support will give you a new code if this one has already expired. However, they need to make sure the code has not been activated yet.

I recently used one that was supposed to expire in 04, but it was a 12 month card, I don't know if that matters or not but I'd be willing to bet the card is still good.
