Crystalis is one of my favorite games from the NES era, and overall in gaming. I have so many great memories of that game. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

...That said, same goes for Battle of Olympus and Guardian Legend.

I'm down for Actraiser the day it hits. That game had the best soundtrack in a game, ever, until Halo came out.

So what hits the VC tomorrow?

I'm really hoping for Super Mario Bros., Zelda 2 & SNES Zelda, and Super Metroid *really* soon. I've got this obsession getting perfect save states for all these old games, and need something when I finish Super Mario 64.

That said, is anyone else pulling their hair out trying to do a complete coin run in SM64? I was ready to slash my wrists after three days trying to get that top Bully in Lethal Lava Land. Then I got both of the bullies in the volcano one time, jumped the wrong way getting the star and died. On Tall Tall Mountain now, and between the slide and retarded Bob-Bombs walking off the cliff, having a lovely time.

All I've heard is Baseball (NES) and Urban Champion (NES).

Stay FAR FAR away from Urban Champion.

Fisnished Castlevania IV. Just as awesome as I remember, altough very short. I bought it when it came out, I presume $50 which seems outrageous considering the length.

Quick question though, when you beat Drac and it starts you over is there anything different or is the game identical to the first play though?

Has that schedule that was posted either in this thread or the Wii thread been accurate so far?

If so, we should have some big releases coming very soon.

One thing I'm not a fan of... I just got Super Mario Bros. and was using the Classic Controller. The 1 and 2 on the Wii-Mote are applied to the B and A buttons on the Classic Controller. However, this made it very difficult to be able to run and jump at the same time in Mario Bros. because of the way that the A button is higher than the B button. It'd be much nicer if say run was Y and jump was B. It's much more natural on the thumb. As it stands, I just ended up using the Wii-Mote on its side.

Is there any way to configure the button layout on the Classic Controller?

How would Duck Hunt work? Is there a Wii light gun I don't know about?

Just throwing this completely in from left field as I have no idea, but it seems possible to have the NES emulator work with the Wii remote's on-screen position somehow, even if there isn't a cursor.

I think the games worked by flashing the screen and the targets were one color and everything else another. The gun was just a photo-receptor that told the game what it saw. The NES emulator could probably do the same thing unless it was up to the underlying game to interpret the gun's data. If that were the case, then they'd have to recode Duck Hunt in such a way that it worked with the Wii. Everything I've heard has said this isn't happening for any game.

Agreed, the alternative Super Nintendo Y/B & X/A setup (used in SMB All-stars IIRC) would be very nice to have.

You are thinking of a mini-game in WiiPlay. It is skeet shooting and looks very similar to Duck Hunt, but it is not.

I can't believe Nintendo still hasn't gotten this down recently. When the SNES came out Y/B became the new B/A. And they did fix that, as mentioned before, for Super Mario All-Stars.
