Odama on the Wii
I bought Odama a week ago, and my wife and I really enjoy it. Will Odama work on the Wii? The microphone is required, but I don't think there is a place to plug it in. Is there are workaround?
|
The microphone plugs into the memory card slot, and the Wii has GameCube memory slots. I don't know for sure that's it compatible, but it should be.

Can a gamecube controller plug into the Wii? Can I use it instead of the "classic controller" for the downloaded games?
|
Yes and yes.

Has it been 100% confirmed that GC controllers will work for Virtual Console games?
This came up in a thread a couple of weeks ago and someone noted that it hadn't been confirmed yet, but seemed likely. |

Nintendo: All virtual console games can be played using the Classic Controller or Nintendo GameCube pads. The Wii Remote can also be turned on its side and used as a traditional controller to play NES games. However, a game will only be playable with the control mechanism it was designed for. So, for example, you will play NES games with the D-pad, not an analogue stick or motion-sensitive functionality. |

hmmm... I thought I read some games (Genesis?) would not work with the GC controller. I wonder where I read that.
The retro controller looks cool, but with 2 Wavebirds sitting around, the need for one is very low. Not to mention the Wavebird doesn't have to be tethered to the Wiimote to work. On the plus side though, you don't need two sets of batteries if you use the retro pad instead of the GC. |
It'd be cool if N64 and SNES controllers worked too.

Is there any news on an actual sequel? I know the game intimates one, but sales seemed pretty dismal. Anyway, I really enjoyed the game and would've been interestedd if they had went ahead with/included bongo control. I'm not really sure how the wiimote's abilities could be put to use, but then not all games need to go all out with the motion control . . .
