Please don't laugh . . .

I've never been one for the lates and greatest when it comes to video game systems . . . I find what I like and I stick with it.

So that said, without laughing, can anybody out there point me in the right direction to download updated rosters for NFL2K5 (on Xbox)? I have found a couple of sights that say that they have them, but cannot find the file (visiting the forums seems to end in ridicule when a novice asks on there).

2K5 was the last football game that I have bought, and will be until Madden makes some giant steps forward.

Well, hopefully you have an Action Replay for the Xbox? Here's a link to some save game files for NFL 2K5(Xbox). I've never used AR so I don't know exactly how to get the file onto your Xbox. If your Xbox is modded and hooked to your PC it's pretty simple.

LINK

Sixth file from the bottom looks to be a save file with updated rosters for the '06-'07 season. Hopefully it's what you're looking for.

Go to OperationSports.com. That is a pretty good site and they should have them.

NFL2K5 is a great game so don't feel bad about owning it. I choose it easily over all the current versions of Madden.

Very true. Its easily one of the best football games ever. Is it backwards compatible with the 360? If it was and I could add my custom soundtracks like before I will buy it again and play that instead of Madden 07.

Well, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one out there that is trying to hang on! Alas, I must show my ignorance . . . I'm guessing I don't have Action Replay since I have no idea what it is.

Operation Sports is one of the sites that I started to poke around on. As usual I went to the forums to see if there was a simple "how to" on there, but found that the requests for the information were met with derision (unless I gave up too soon). Maybe I've stayed pretty sheltered since 1999 and have gotten used to the community on here (props to the DVDTalk Community!).

(added before posting) Actually I just clicked on the forum for GAMEFAQ.com (I don't know why I didn't go to their forum before . . . that's where I usually go for cheat codes). Apparently I need to go buy an Action Replay (what else can it do for me?)! I've downloaded the file, should I be able to burn that to a CD and use that to load file?

An Action Replay functions kinda like a memory card where you can download files to your PC, transfer them to the Action Replay, and then transfer it to your xbox through the memory card port.

So it sounds like you'd download the roster, copy it to the Action replay, plug it into your xbox, and finally update the roster in NFL 2K5.
