Ditto to what most of the rest of you are saying. Still busy with R6, GOW and still have COD2 and Dead Rising to tackle. Also waiting for a prce drop.

After playing the online demo, I'm getting this instead of R6.

R6LV multiplayer is by far the best multiplayer shooter on the 360. IMO.

Perhapse GRAW2 will top it, but I doubt that LP is better.

I don't know why they say the release day is the 12, I got it on the 10th, and I've seen it at a bunch of stores like Target on the 11th.

Anyways, it's great fun - a good compliment to Gears, as it's similar, but still pretty different. I like that it's more hectick with more action, and it has it definite cool factor when you pull off moves well. The mechs are a nice touch.

It's been a while since I played the demo, but it looks better than I remember the demo looking.

But I do have to say that the story/cut-scenes are atrocious. They are Resident Evil 1 on the PS1 calibur bad. On top of that, the sotry is just incomprehensible, which is too bad, as the gameplay is compelling enough that you sort of want to care about what's going on around you, but instead, you'll just want to hit 'start' and skip them.

I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, as I don't care for any sort of multiplayer...

Yeah and I forgot to post if you pre-ordered at Wal-Mart you got a extra map. Tho today at Wal-Mart I saw that they still had the Pre-Order boxes(blue) that include the code. I wish I had the money but just see the Gaming Schedule thread for why my family doesn't have the money.

I hated GRAW and hated the R6 online demo. And GOW is the best online game for the 360 IMO.

Well, single player lost planet is fun, but multi is pretty stupid. No sense of what's going on, and everyone just jumps around firing rockets....wheeeee.

Slightly off topic, but WTF do people see in Rainbow Six Vegas multiplayer? That's hands down the worst looking, worst playing thing I have seen in years...

You've played the final copy right? RB6:LV has some of the best multiplayer to date, awesome level designs and weapons for it. Tho the graphics do take a hit (Especially compared to the beauty of the single player).

Silence frightens the hell out of me in it tho.

I was completely turned off of R6 when i played the demos, but thankfully, thats not an accurate portrayal of the final version of the game.

I bought it for 40 new, and Ill be hangin onto that for quite a while.

To each his own I guess. I'm not big on GRAW either, but R6 is hands down the best shooter on the 360. IMO.

I haven't decided yet. I have $60 credit waiting for me but I don't know if I want this or if I want to cave and buy R6. Seems odd to me that I loved GRAW and no one would ever play it with me. Now we have those same people saying R6:V is the cat's ass so something tells me I'll hate it. Lost Planet looks intruiging and I did like the demo so maybe this is the way to go..................TOO MUCH PRESSURE!!!

I just got back from picking up the special edition.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that I get this cool mech action figure for free

Rainbow 6 Vegas is the best live game on 360 right now, period.

If you haven't played a retail copy, you shouldn't comment. I have seen very few complaints about the retail build other than a few comments about the shotgun being overpowered. It blows Gears of War away in every aspect except the graphics.

I can't comment on LP, but I'm a strong R6LV supporter. This is my take: it seems that LP is a more chaotic, arcade shooter while R6LV is more tactical (even in multiplayer). It all depends on your preference.

I have GOW for my 'arcade shooter' and R6LV as a tactical shooter. Those titles will be replaced by Halo3 and GRAW2 this year.

if halo3 doesnt include cover fire, im scratching that off my list.

GRAW is really gonna need to take about 5 steps forward before I buy that again

Both games have their own strong points. I like the graphics in GOW, the buddy system when playing the campaign. I don't like the 8 player maximum in multiplayer, the limited number of maps (haven't tried the new ones yet) and I like R6LV's cover system better.

I love both games, but where I play GOW 2 hours a months, I play R6LV 20 hours a month.

i do like how they have you hold down a trigger, instead of having one button do everything. I don't, on the other hand, care for the fact that you can't jump or dive.

Why is this thread turning into a pimp fest for R6? Last I checked the title of the thread deals with Lost Planet. Why do you people even care what a select few of us think about R6 anyway? If you like it, awesome. But not everybody has the same exact tastes. I could give a crap if you liked the LP demo or not. As for R6, I thought the demo was garbage and as a result will not spend the $60 I previously saved for it. I enjoyed the LP demo much more and as a result will be buying the game. It's as simple as that.
