over at AVS people are saying they spoke with BB CSRs and were told this was an error and that all orders will be cancelled. CRAP.

Damn it, in the time it took me to add it to my cart and make sure my checking account had enough cash in it, the status switched from pre-order to coming soon. Oh well. Good luck to those who got an order in.

since so many people seemed to have ordered multiple units I'd guess this will be cancelled. maybe they'll just cancel the extras and only ship each person one. we can hope, right?

I had no intention of selling my PS3, but IF this goes though, it will be my backup plan. I will still camp out at BB on launch day and if I'm able to score one, my online order is getting sold. If I'm unable to get one on the 17th, I'll keep this one.

My main problem is that I wanted to get the PS3, any games and accessories, and the replacement plan with my BB card so I will have several months to pay for it with no interest. I lost my BB card, so I had to put the preorder on a regular cc.

By the way, I say today's ad and BB is giving double reward zone points on games, music, and dvds through the end of December. Not on hardware though, unfortunately.

I keep hearing more and more about these orders being canceled.

Over at AVS there's a few people who say their order is going to be honored. Very strange lol.

Maybe they are going to cancel the orders of those who went crazy and ordered a bunch of them and they're going to allow the orders of those who just bough one, or maybe two?

I tried to order 2 of them and it gave me a script stating one per person.

Yeah, but many people ordered more than one, some people ordered a lot more than one, by just doing separate orders for each PS3.

Spoke to a BB CSR. All multiple orders will be cancelled. They will honor the rest, according to the rep.

I figured the system wouldn't let people get them that way so I didn't try. I'm happy with just getting one but I hope they cancel people who are ordering like 10 of them at this time.

I only ordered one so I guess I'll get it. Damn, I kind of just ordered it to order it. Never expected to get one. Wait and see I guess.

Well, it's not like you won't be able to get rid of it if you know what I mean. :)
