You can get the collector's edition at Buy.com for $52.69 shipped, the regular one for $44.39 shipped. Both prices after $20 Google Checkout, no tax.

Yeah I listened to all the comm chatter. The female didn't talk much in my game. 99% of the talking occurred between Fenix and the other three guys.

There was an intro? I let the beginning play out without pressing any buttons, but all I got was the company logo screens and then the main menu.

Yes... it's there. Talks about the planet Sera before the Locust Horde invades it.

Also, Raam's name is listed in the Versus Option Menu, where you select your "preferred" Locust character during an MP match.

My friend brought a 360 yesterday. As in the other thread, his 360 was DOA. He was disappointed, so I bought over my 360 so he could play some GOW.

I went to the restroom while he finished hooking up my 360. When I came back, he was playing GOW. I thinking oh no, I asked, "did you just start a new game?" He said, "yes." 8-10 hours on hardcore just went down the drain. There are worst things that could happen, I guess.

Spoiler:
I just planted the resanator and was back above ground. Was I close to finishing it?

Yeah that is a little over halfway. But you didn't actually loose any of your progress. Just load the checkpoint that you were on and select the hardcore difficulty. The whole continue option is just a convenience that means very little. There is a little indicator next to the act checkpoints that show what difficulty you beat it on.

That is the end of Act 3. There are 5 acts (based upon the achievement list).

You didn't lose anything, just do the Select Chapter bit and start your game where you left off. Each section of the game is individually marked (marked = you beat it on hardcore, not marked = you beat it on casual.) so you can pickup exactly where you left off.

And yeah, you still have a long way to go.

Thats good news. I really didn't like starting over again. I was going to put it down for a week or two if I had to start over. Sweet, I'll be playing tonite...

Well I got my first taste of co-op last night thanks to DVDVampire. I was already one step away from getting on the train when we hooked up on HC. I have to say if the rest of co-op gaming can be this fun then why bother single play anything. We're going co-op on Insane from start and it's brutal.

Not everyone can find co-op partners when they need too or when they're online.

Is this downloadable content free? I hardly ever go online with my 360, so I didn't know it was there.

Cog tags are pretty easy to find. Just look for the red skull logo and the tags are nearby. I just finished up the set of 30 last week.

I've managed 17 so far on my first run through, and I still have acts 4-5 to go.

That's almost exactly where I am at. I have act 4 and 5 left and have 16 tags. I'm almost positive though I passed one up during the Berserker fight - i just have a sneaking suspicion there was at least one tucked in one of those rooms i ran through.

I think I'm about the same.

I don't think this is spoiler material, but just in case...

Spoiler:

I have 15-17 and I'm in the mine getting close to planting that resonator thingy (act 3?).

I hit a few levels that I wasn't too thrilled with, but it's picking back up again. I loved the burnt-out city areas early in the game. I didn't care for the 'stay in the light' parts and the areas leading to the mine reminded me of Quake IV for some reason.

But I played a little more the other night and it seemed like I was enjoying the level design more.

I beat act 3 on insane with a random player last night. I haven't had to wait longer than 2 minutes to get a partner, but that could be because I only play on insane

Shit. Ok, I guess that's wear I screwed up. I didn't look for the skulls.

Also, FUCK
Spoiler:
RAAM!!!! I'm trying everything I've read here and 1) he's running right up on me which forces me to find new cover and risk death by kryll or those other things and 2) He's not dying!!! I must have a glitch in my game or something. How come you guys are staying in one place and killing him right away?

I love this game but it's really pissing me off. I thought I was going to try a harder setting after finishing but the frustration concerning the above is giving me a headache so i may just put it away for month or two if I finish my current game.
