Need suggestions for Xbox 360 offline/online multiplayer games
So I picked up a 360 a few weeks ago, great system so far. Along with COD2, Burnout and Marvel UA, I have about a dozen Live arcade games. Recently I found out my gf is having a few of her relatives at her house during Thanksgiving, so she suggested I bring the 360 over to keep some of us occupied. So I'm looking for some game suggestions, are there any games released, shooters in particular, that have offline and possibly online co-op for up to four people? Marvel UA would be the go to choice for me, but I doubt they're into those type of games.

If anything, what about PD0 or GRAW? I'm somewhat certain that PD0 has bots, however I'm not sure if GRAW's offline multiplayer enables more than 2 people for co-op.

LEGO: Star Wars II has a great 2 player co-op mode. Very entertaining game.
Gears of War & Rainbow Six: Vegas will be out before Thanksgiving, so you may want to check out the co-op modes in those as well. |
Kameo has an offline and online co-op for two.
|
Thanks for the info, especially for Kameo and Lego star wars, I totally forgot about the co-op feature for those two. Me and the gf will probably try those out.
The thing is though I'm especially looking for 4player co-op including info on the two games I mentioned in my previous post. |
Unfortnately offline 4player seems to have ceased to exist once the 360 hit. Hopefully Bungie comes through on Halo 3 for us.

That's unfortunate. One of the best things about Xbox were the multi player games and lan parties. I probably shouldn't bother purchasing 2 more controllers then, I was never a fan of people watching other people playing when it's a game that could have been enjoyed by all.

First and fore-most, Phantasy Star Universe. It has, by far, the best online community for an xbox game, and the damn thing just came out.
Chrome Hounds is an amazing online title. The controls are spot on, but there is a learning curve to the game, which I find enjoyable actually. Single player mode is basically a bust Moto GP 06 is fun off or online, but most fun is had online. The game is EXTREMELY demanding, which does turn a lot of people off of this game. The fact remains that this IS the most realistic racing game out for ANY system |

It is a no brainer. They would sell more controllers. Right now, there is no reason to own a second one, although I did get one via the buy.com/google deal. This was 3 weeks ago. It is still sealed. But if something comes along, I'm ready! |
When does Fusion Frenzy 2 come out?
|
My suggestions:
Fuzion Frenzy Halo 2 Burnout supports up to 8 players in crash mode. Four-person co-op would be your Marvels, Gauntlet. Dead or Alive also has 4 player mode I think. If you're doing online, do the relatives have broadband? What kind of router do they have? The last thing you want to do is spend an hour setting up the online. I'd probably bring 2-player games that have short rounds: fighting games, FPSs etc. so everyone can trade off. 4-Player co-op has always looked to crappy on any split-screen system, even on a 50" TV. |
Street Fighter!
edit: the boxing game. Even though I don't own that get people always love to check out that demo. |

I might go with GRAW for that weekend. Checked out the box today and noticed the 4player split screen, looked like a co-op mission too. Again, thanks to everyone for their input. |
