Thats not cool!! I pre-ordered mine and dont want this at all.. 'surfing habits'.. none of your f..cking business! Time to cancel? |
Ususally i think claims of spyware in most games is way overblown, but this is pretty retarded since its simply for advertising. Doing things to prevent piracy or cheats is one thing; doing it simply for in-game ads is retarded.
No way...no how.
I will not be buying this game. |
Was gonna pick it up tomorrow but i dunno now.
there is a nice thread about this on anandtech
apparently people are now reporting that the game won't work if you have some security update from microsoft and that you have to uninstall it because the game needs kernel level access to your PC |
I avoided a bunch of games because of Starforce so I guess EA's new games go on the list as well. Can't they do in game ads without accessing the kernel?
If they're going to have ads in it, they should decrease the price of the game accordingly. We shouldn't have to pay for ads we don't want.
So if you don't agree to the agreement, can you return the now open game?
If they put crappy bilboards in there, at least they better let us launch a rocket at it and blow it up
