Anybody need/want a 2GB or 4GB memory stick for the PSP for a cheapish?

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

So is there a new PSP coming out (4000)? Tempted to "upgrade" my phat to a 3000.

Also, is Amazon just matching Target's 199 price on the Go, or is that the new price? Still too expensive considering I just bought a UMD of Metal Gear and I have no interest in paying for it again, but tempting.

I doubt we'll be seeing any new version of the PSP at this point, especially one with a UMD drive.

Reminder : Patchwork Heroes is on sale until tomorrow for $4.99. I hear it's awesome, but haven't downloaded it yet.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

I do believe there have been a couple of random things (like third party accessories) hinting towards a PSP-4000.

Jesus Christ, I could not have picked a worse time to buy a PSP. Just a week or so after I get it, I see this:

http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_1...1023x272xTier3

And it's in the silver color I wanted, too.

It's considered "poor form" around these parts, but don't you have a 30 day return policy with your purchase?

BTW : That's a hell of a deal.

So I picked up PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe at KMart today for $6.99. Anyone here play it yet? Is it as good as the PS store one?

I don't think there have been any real details. It might have been buried in an investor note somewhere.

It's not quite as pretty. And no trophies of course. But otherwise it plays the same and has all of the content of PJM + the expansion pack. It's a meaty little game and that's a good price (though to be honest, I'd prefer the download version for $9.99 over a disc-based one at $6.99 for the extra convenience. Unlike many full PSP games for download, it's not a very big file.

It's out of stock online.

If anyone is interested and you can find one in the stores, they have put most of their older entertainment packs on sale for $129. It includes the Assassin's Creed one, the Hannah Montana one, and I think the GT and Ratchet and Clank ones. Unfortunately, the only Kmart near me only had the Hannah Montana one, and I'm not desperate enough for a PSP to have a purple/pink one and a game that I'll never even open.

I thought I heard a rumor that the disc-based version allowed for some kind of online capability (or had something the DL version didn't.) Maybe I'm thinking of Fat princess or another game however.

This game is awesome. I paid $10 for it and felt that I got my money's worth and then some. It's essentially Qix with a few little twists and a cool art style.

Why don't you just download it from your PSP? That's what I do.

Or use Media Go if you don't mind installing that.

Does the PSP support wireless G and WPA yet? That's the main reason I don't have it hooked up all the time, I don't want to change router settings every time I want to use it (my DS has the same issue).

I think the PSP has always supported those.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

I know the Go at least supports WPA (not WPA2 though). I'm not sure about the normal PSP though since I haven't used mine in quite a while.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

It definitely has not always supported them... supposedly the wireless even in the phat has g capabilities, but at least the last time I checked it was only enabled for b and WEP.

I think even the Go is only b...

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

It supports WPA (not WPA2) and b. Although, routers may have mixed modes that can accommodate WPA/WPA2 and b/g.

Well, in some good news to cheer everyone up, the demo for Valkryia Chronicles 2 comes out today. Now THAT is a great reason to own a PSP!
