I'm picking this up next week for the 360. I sold my PS2 before this ever came out and wanted to play it ever since. The achievements look like a lot of fun.
IGN just gave it a 8.7: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/856/856138p1.html |
Didn't realize this was coming out so soon. It's definitely on my radar. I just ordered Lost. *sigh
I've got it coming from YF360Games. Looking forward to it since I didn't have it on the PS2, but damn am I gonna feel dirty getting the boy-on-boy achievements.
Looking forward to getting this when it's a bit cheaper, I'll have to look through some reviews and figure out if I should get the 360 or Wii version.
I hope I can finish the Lost game this weekend so I can play Bully next week.

By the time the PS2 version of Bully had come out, I was already basically just buying original Xbox games, so I'm definitely going to get the 360 version.
I already own it for ps2. I'm gonna wait till it price drops down to $30. I think i'd go with the wii version.
I bought this yesterday. The game looks like fun, it's something different from all the games in the Xbox 360. I think I can spend more than 40 hours playing it.
The graphics are one of the worst I've seen in the Xbox 360, but I don't care about that. I do care about the loading times, that's killing the game for me. |
Ugh, I may change my free game then to Burnout or something, everyone I know is saying the loading times are unbearable.
The loading times are terrible, but having never played it on the PS2 I don't have a frame of reference. Is there anywhere it tells my class schedule other than a bell icon that only shows up when I'm already supposed to be in class?
So far I'm glad it's a rental, trying to get to class and do the missions is a pain I've restarted from my save spot so many times I wanted to kill Algie not save him. :( |
I've read in some forums that the 360 version is crashing in several people. I guess I've been lucky since no crashes here.

From Kotaku:
Rockstar "Horrified" By Xbox 360 Bully: Scholarship Edition Issues We wrote earlier today of the issues surrounding the Xbox 360 version of Bully: Scholarship Edition, hoping to get a statement from Rockstar Games on the status of either a fix or a replacement plan for those affected. For those not up to speed, the 360 port is reportedly plagued with freezing issues and audio glitches in addition to a less than solid frame rate. Rockstar issued a statement tonight, saying the staff was "devastated" to learn of the issues surrounding the Bully port, something they say didn't come up in the QA process. Their full statement follows. We have just become aware of the issues people are having with Bully Scholarship Edition on Xbox 360. It appears that some older 360s are experiencing framerate issues, freezes and other problems. You have our word that we never experienced any of this in QA - in any of our offices or at Microsoft. I am horrified, and we are now working around the clock to rectify this situation. Thanks to Neo-Gaf for bringing this matter to our attention. We love our games and put a huge amount of energy and care into making them all that they can be. We would never shove anything out the door - we never have and never will. We apologise to everyone affected for the inconvenience. Respectfully, Sam Houser We'll let you know of any future developments on the Xbox 360 edition of Bully: Scholarship Edition and hope that Rockstar Games and Microsoft will do their best to address fan concerns swiftly. |
"Holy crap, we had no idea this game sucked when you played it on a real 360"
I admire them coming out and issuing a statement at least, especially only a day after release. 2K Sports would never do that.
Yeah, at least they didn't say it was an "user error".
Or sending out booklets explaining why you're doing it wrong.
Just how extensively can they actually patch a game on the 360?
Where does the patch go on a system without a hard drive? |

Just got back from vacation and I'm looking forward to picking this up at the store. Are there any good deals on it?
No deals.
I haven't opened mine yet, I have Lost Oddessy and MLB 2k8 to play. I am a little concerned about the freezing issue, though. That and after playing 2k8 today I got the RRoD but it started up normally again after I powered it down, so I am getting a a bit nervous here

Just goes to show, you should never buy ANY electronic device (PC, operating system, video game system, etc...) on launch date. |
I picked it up the other day but I haven't tried it yet. I blind bought it because of all of the great things I heard about the PS2 versions and the great review it has received, but I wanted to try to finish some rentals before I started playing it. Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend.

Rockstar to patch game within the week:
In response to reports from across the internet, Rockstar games says they will patch the 360 version of interactive wedgie simulator Bully: Scholarship Edition within the next week. In a statement, the company said: We are very aware of the problems some people have been experiencing with the Xbox 360 version of Bully: Scholarship Edition and have been doing everything within our powers to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. We will be releasing a title update through Xbox Live within the next week that we are confident will rectify the problem. We apologize wholeheartedly for the inconvenience that this matter has caused some owners of the game. |
I rented the game last night. I played for about an hour and it froze on me. I immediately took it back to blockbuster and exchanged it for Tomb Raider Anniversary. The guy wasn't going to let me trade at first, but I talked him into it. The game was ok, I didn't really have fun with it though. Everything seemed to rushed, the clock runs way to fast. You are just rushing around the entire time, and don't get time to take a more leisurely pace.
The clock always runs fast, and it is fast paced at times. The PS2 version was like that.
So I failed Art 3... will I be able to take it again?
Yup. You take the classes until you pass them.
Once you totally finish a subject, you no longer have to take that class so you can skip it and spend that time exploring. Time still matters but not as much later in the game and more of the surrounding town opens up, giving you new missions. There's also a carnival that has mini games and an arcade. |
I never played the PS2 version but i am enjoying the 360 version a fair amount. It has been really fun so far.
I spent ~8 hours in episode 1. And it says that I've completed 10% of the game. Will it be a 80 hours game for me? :o
Oh and I'm really bad in Music and Biology, I think in both of them I'm still in the second class. |
Has the patch for the 360 version come out yet? It's been more than a week since they announced it, but I wanted to make sure it works ok before I pick it up.
I haven't noticed a patch yet. I have had no lockups yet and have put probably 15-18 hours into the game.
The patch was ready last week, but it had to go through Microsoft certification, which can take a while. Last I heard it should be up by Friday.
It's up right now according to Joystiq. But some say it makes things worse....
I still haven't opened my copy yet, but how can things get much worse than what people have described? |
I opened mine after the patch. I've played for about 10 hours total and had one freeze...I also had a sound drop out for about 5-10 seconds, but that's about it.
Just started this yesterday and played through all of Chapter 1. Lots of fun, and will definitely hold me over for this style of game until GTA IV.
I am having some performance issues with the 360 though. Besides the aforementioned load times which do indeed suck, I am having infrequent audio dropouts (maybe 1 every 5-10 minutes), and some of my cut scenes have played back with minor graphics issues like framerate and some characters with sort of a horizontal line moving down their face. I'm hoping this isn't a disc drive issue. My 360 has a build date of 1-8-08 so it doesn't fit into the "some older 360's" category the developers referenced. I haven't played too many games on the system yet, but I played a few hours of Ace Combat 6 and had zero issues, and I've watched multiple videos and played demos with no issues either, so I am inclined to believe it is the game. |
I hate Biology! It took me 3x to finnish lesson one, and I can't pass lesson 2. Any tips?
Also is the dress code listed anywhere? I keep getting a dress code violation warning and the only things I had bought where new shoes, a sweatband, and a Diff color school sweater. Does the Dress code matter that much anyway? |
