With all the goodies coming out, what are games you plan on purchasing or getting for gifts?

For me:

Call of Duty 3 (Xbox 360)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Xbox 360)
Gears of War (depending on reviews)
HD-DVD add-on for Xbox 360

Wii
Zelda

For me: Gears, CoD3, and Culcept Saga if it is released.

What type of game is Marvel: UA?

A Wii for sure and a PS3 if I'm lucky enough to find one.

Wii - Metal Slug Anthology, Zelda (with low expectations)

DS - Yoshi's Island 2, Castlevania: PoR

PS2 - Guitar Hero 2, Lumines Plus

Hmm, tough as several of the games I was looking forward to got bumped back (DS Zelda and Castlevania namely) to 2007.

I'm going to try to pick up a Wii at launch and already have Zelda preordered. I may ask for a second controller for X-mas since they are so expensive.

Possibly Okami and FFXII--but I really won't have time for games of that length until late June when I'm through my final Ph D comp so I'll probably just wait in hopes they can be had cheap then.

Yoshi's Isand 2 for the DS is a must get, and comes out the day before my birthday, so I'll probably ask for that.

Castlevania got bumped? Damn it. That was one of my must-haves.

I guess right now it's Gears of War, Wii, Zelda, Trauma Center.

I'm will most likely be picking up a 360 and an HDTV for myself for the holidays.

As for gifts, I am still undecided if I am going to ask for the Wii, it depends on the reviews of the launch line up. Plus I am not sure I want to pay full price for all the games as they slowly trickle out after launch.

Didn't realize Zelda and Castlevania DS had been delayed, was looking forward to those.

I think I am going to ask for my first IPOD, the 80gb video IPOD this year, but that's pretty far over the usual Christmas spending.

All of my non-video game holiday purchases will be HD DVDs.

Maybe a Wii depending on early reviews...but I may wait for a price drop and some good software.
