Prey:LE packaging problems
Just a heads up to anyone out there buying Prey: Limited Edition for the XB360.
Crappy package design resulted in my disc being horribly scratched and upable to play. The game comes in an oversized metal tin, and the game disc itself is on the bottom of the tin. It's on a hub, but still touches the metal bottom, and has the manual and pewter statues laying on top of it. Gamecrazy told me all 5 pre-ordered LEs they got in were like this, and they have more on order. -Jason |
Ya, I laughed when I cracked one open at work yesterday....what crap, and the disc was a little scuffed

Phew, makes me feel better about my choice. I was holding both in my hand at Best Buy and thinking if I really needed that huge tin. Personally not worth it to spend an extra ten bucks on something I don't want. It's not even a sequel of a franchise I care about yet, so the figurines mean nothing to me. Plus, 70 bucks on a game doesn't make much sense, especially with the quick release and little hype on this one, compared to other LE's.

The only time I buy an LE is when there is actual extra playable content. For example, when the Doom 3 LE came with Doom 1 and 2 on it.
|
I got the LE for the DVD-ROM instead of 2+ CDs that the regular edition included. My LE disc is fine, no scratches. Can't wait to get back to California to play it!
|
That sounds pretty crappy. My Halo 2 disc got all scratched from that crappy disc stacking packaging of the CE tin.

Is the 'art book' any good?
Also, how big are the pewter figures? |
