Oh well the box is grayed out where is says google checkout. They must have found out and blocked it cuz it's says google checkout is not available for this item.
Weird i even just got in on the deal not 10 minutes ago through the google checkout.
oh I see how it works, I was logged into my dvdempire account. Since I logged out now I can checkout using google. thanks.
Looks like the gravy train is over on those points. But you can still use the discount on other Xbox 360 stuff. or DVDs or whatever.
Yeah, they probably got slammed on this. I'm sure it was just a stock issue, because it seemed like this was a google discount, not a DVDEmpire discount.
Now i just need another offer for cheap points since i missed the overstock.com one. 1600 should cover me on the CoD maps and hopefully Street Fighter II but i still like have a few sticking around for later.

This is of course assuming that SFII isn't just a myth. Like Bigfoot. I'm wondering if i'll ever get to see it. Then i know bloody well i will just be owned by everyone when i start playing it again.

Throw out a plate of curry, it'll come.

Played the new CoD2 maps w/ Exodus, Polekat and goLucky tonight. Good variety, a few small maps, and a few larger ones. Alot more nooks and crannies on some of them for the snipes like myself. ;)

Awesome! Does Bill Gates have his own Oompa Loompas? |
Got an free hour for some downloading?
The Prey demo has been released: 1.17 GB |
So much for new content never coming out on Fridays. :)
Woo hoo! Have that sucker as an active download now. And the demo is multiplayer as well :)

The demo is pretty wild so far. I have to say that no matter what the rest of the demo holds I am very impressed with one thing:
Spoiler:
I'm downloading the prey demo now.
After the demo I almost want to throw up. The very end of the demo took me forever and gravity was taking it's toll on me. It's a crazy game and as soon as my stomach stops turning I want to try the online part.
Prey downloaded pretty quick less than a hour, it took me 30 minutes today to download the COD maps which were only 330mb or so.
Wow this demo is awesome!
Graphically, the Prey demo is a bit on the muddled side, but the game is a blast to play. Not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach (namely for Motion sickness), but damn was it a fun demo. Definitely want the game now.
With all the talk of it only being 30 fps, I was a lil worried (dunno why, since 30fps is quite smooth), but if that's how the whole game ran, I'd be a very happy camper. |
Loved every second of the Prey demo. The framerate was so-so in spots but the gameplay more than made up for it. I'll be picking this up in a couple weeks when it comes out.
Downloading the Top Spin 2 Wimbeldon demo and Prey together through active downloads, but Prey is Pending still, weird.. But its damn apparent MS said screw any other deal they had for this demo, they needed something new to download for XBL or more hell was going to break loose. Good job listening to the consumer, even tho it took a damn long time to react.
Played a little bit of the Prey demo, it also made me a little sick, but I've had food since then and am ready to try again.
I tried multiplayer first. Felt it was choppy, not smooth and felt really doomish. Didnt feel like a solid FPS shooter to me, very childish and not really into it. I then tried the single player game and was astonished how great the story was told, how it unfolded and generally really nice presentation. However, i didnt feel sick while playing, but now that i stopped i feel woozy. Doesnt feel anywhere NEAR as polished as battlefield for online. Overall, not super impressed, definetly not on my buy list.

That said, I'm more interested in the single-player aspect personally. Here's to hoping for an importable copy. |
I played the SP portion of the demo first and was very impressed. It did make me feel EXTREMELY nauseous though. I had to stop for a while and come back to it.
I was prepared to buy if the MP was good, but after actually playing the MP there's no way I'm buying this game. It felt very choppy and just generally boring. I liked Q4 MP better than this crap. Game is now a rental for me. |
I never get nauseous in FPS games, but I did get a little dizzy in Prey with those gravity changers. Didn't care much for the multi, but I really don't like deathmatch modes anyway.
Prey demo was awesome, I was suprised. I love how it immersives you. the bar, with the being able to change music, play with the tv, play games etc. then when the aliens come its awesome great audio btw

Cool single player. I have to agree on the multi though. Seemed quite uninspired and dull. |

I got a kick out of that from the promo from E3. |
Does anyone know if you can have 2 human players play against 2 computer players in the full version of UNO. My wife and I were trying to play Partner UNO (we both have xbox live gamertags and silver memberships and are on each others friends list), but only one of us can play at a time against 3 computer players. Note: we don't want to play on xbox live gold, just want to play the two of us versus two computer players. Is this possible?
You have to have two tvs, two 360s and two Live accounts. You can't play on the same screen, you would see each others cards.
Yeah, not sure how Partner Uno works in real life, as I doubt you would know what cards your partner has (the only way to play with two real players on the same screen). The computer doesn't plays partners as if it knows the other player's cards, so it probably would consider that cheating.

I have been checking xbox.com for information regarding XBLA arcade every few days and tonight on the recent additions section they listed Frogger. It has some nice features for live I was unaware of like co-op. The release date listed Summer 2006. Hopefully it will be out soon.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/f/fr...60/default.htm Versus speed mode: Race a friend in split screen or Xbox Live action with this exciting new mode. Take as many frogs as you need to be the first to get five across the street for a new, intense competition. Co-op play: With a friend in the room, or on the other side of the world via Xbox Live, put your competitive nature aside and work together to push your frogs to the limit. All new bonuses: Rescue extra frogs, discover Frogger's friends, and search out tasty insect bonuses to push your score higher. There's an all time high score for this title, and someone's gonna have to beat it. |
My DVDEmpire order shipped for the cheap-o Marketplace Points!
