The latest version of Mario Party had a single player mode to it. It wasn't the best but it was there.

Oh and sometimes I wish i were a mod just because it would be cool to have a girl video game mod.

But Mario Party was mentioned, which may have set his Nintendar off. ;-)

Just got done trying the demo for NNN. Graphics are awesome, huge battles and not a drop of slowdown (in fact, the only time i saw any slowdown was off fighting loading new scenery). The controls are tight and the combo system is a lot more deeper then i gave it credit for at first. However, its very similar to dynasty warriors, just a more polished feel to it. Its a cool game, doubt i'd pick it up, but will definetly try the demo again.

It looks like you may be right. Maybe it was Grid Runner???

Downloading the NN demo now. If it also has the turn based aspect that Dynasty Warriors had then i should enjoy it enough to at least put some hours on a rental. I also finally got my OXM today, the squirrels were running slower here i guess. ;)

The graphics for N3 are awesome, but I didn't like DW3 so I probably won't like N3.

The graphics on N3 are amazing, but the game was no fun to me at all. I sat there button mashing and got a 1641 combo. Meanwhile my entire army stood around watching me kill and they did nothing. It just seemed like a strange game to me.

Meanwhile, I finally got around to getting Oblivion and all I can say is wow. I'm over 9 hours into it, in one day no less, and so far I have only taken the amulet to the monk for the main quest. Mostly just been having fun stealing and killing. I think tomorrow I will join the brotherhood. :) I was dissapointed at first because from the start the game would pause every couple feet I moved or everytime I went into the menus. Then I read about clearing the cache, I did that and it runs smooth now. Truly an amazing game.

So is anyone playing Chromehounds? Is it closer to MechAssault or the Armored Core series?

The newest OXM says that Lumines is going to be 1200 points (~15$) having never played or heard of this game but enjoying puzzlers does this sound like a decent buy? I'm glad i can play demos of the games before committing but i was curious on this title since it is already out on other platforms.

$15 for that game is a good buy. Especially for someone who hasn't played one of the best games on the PSP.

well, after a few instances of the games locking up (again) - it blacked out and the lights turned red. this is insane for such a high-priced system!

While i understand that OXM overhypes games (for instance in this issue they say Prey has great multiplayer that everyone will be playing on Live) but the writeup on Shadowrun is kind of interesting. It has definately piqued my interest enough to hold out hope for the thing.

Also, the cart racing in the new MK game looks funny as hell.

Quick question: I've been playing my 360 games for a while under a certain profile on my console. I just signed up on Live recently, and that Gamertag was taken. I then signed up with a different one. Is there anyway I can transfer my points and games under my original profile to the one that I use to connect with Live? It would be nice to have all of my games and points be viewable on Live.

I have some questions concerning HDTV and the 360 connection options.

I'm planning on buying an LCD HDTV soon, and I'd like to get a 360 also. Now, the sets I'm looking at have a resolution of 1360x768. Apparently, the display will upscale 720 to 768, so I could just use component cables. However, I think I would get better results if I use VGA, because there's an option for 1360x768 when using that. That way, the game would be rendered in 1360x768 rather than upscaled, right? That should be better because not only will the game be using a slightly higher resolution, but also possible upscaling artifacts wouldn't be present.

Is there a way to use the component cable for 1360x768? If it just does 1280x720, I think I'll get the Core system and VGA cable, since the hard drive is $50 at Wal-Mart.

Even with the harddrive as 50$ getting a wireless controller runs around 50$. The core system comes with a wired controller whereas the premium pack comes with a wireless. I can't imagine wanting a wired one after playing with a wireless one.

The Core doesn't come with a headset either, if I remember correctly

You will only get 1360 x 768 through the vga cables. You are always better off using the native resolution of your display. With that, I doubt you will notice a big difference between 768 with vga cables vs. 720 with component. Either will look great.

Does anybody else have Half-Life 2 for the Xbox? When I play it on my 360 I get <i>extreme</i> lag. It's especially annoying since it's only single player.

Unfortunatly you might be out of luck, call 360 tech support they might be able to help you migrate the information.

I wonder how big the saints row demo will be. I also need to go today and buy another MS Points card, SF2 is tommorow night!
