What are your favorite Nintendo DS games?

Hey all, like a lot of people, I just recently got a Nintendo DS Lite. I picked up New Super Mario Bros., which is awesome by the way, and was curious what your favorite games are. I've read through a lot of reviews but I'd like to hear your input on what are the best games.

New Super Mario Bros
Castlevania
Mario Kart DS
Mario and Luigi 2
Kirby Canvas Curse
Meteos

I second Castlevania and Mario and Luigi 2

Phoenix Wright is well regarded, it was tough to find but just received another printing. It's in stock at www.walmart.com and I just ordered a copy.

It's essentially a text based point and click adventure game. May want to check it out as well.

Phoenix Wright
Trauma Center
Trace Memory
Mario & Luigi 2
Jump Superstars
Pac-Pix
Kirby Canvas Curse
Metroid Prime Pinball

Off the top of my head those are some of the titles I've enjoyed the most.

Thanks for the in-stock notice. I've been looking to pick this one up.

No love for Advanced Wars DS? I was thinking of getting the DS for this game alone.... I loved it for the GBA.

Advance Wars DS and Animal Crossing have wasted most of my time. Mario & Luigi Partners in Time was great as well. My kids loved Princess Peach and Super Mario Bros but I haven't had the time to play them, Mario Kart is great as always.

Thanks for that link! I didn't know of anywhere that still had stock. Just placed an order.

For the OP, Castlevania for me is by far the best game on DS. I'd say it's the best in the series even above SotN.

Me too. I haven't gotten a DS yet, but if I do, that'll be the first game I buy.

They're doing another production run of it, so it should be popping up instock here and their. They did one in the spring as well, but I didn't order online and didn't see it in stock in any local stores, so jumped on it online this time.

Noonan 06-13-06 04:24 PM

That's cool. I knew about the reprint this past spring. I didn't know there is going to be another one.

Meteos
Castlevania-DoS
New Super Mario Bros.
Tetris DS
Metroid Prime Hunters
Mario Kart
Kirby Canvas Curse
Osu Tatakae Ouendon

Spiderbite 06-14-06 05:35 PM

Anyone heard an annoucement that the DS will get it's own Namco collection with Pac-Man, Mrs. Pac-Man, Galaga, etc.?

These are always must haves for me on any system and if there has been nothing mentioned I will likely go ahead & pick them up the GBA versions.

RobLutter 06-14-06 11:31 PM

All you need is:

Osu! Tatakae! Ouedan! (best. import. ever.)
Trauma Center: Under the Knife
and
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

... and maybe Brain Age to keep your mind workin'!

:)

I'm sure it's inevitable though Pac and Roll has original Pac-Man using both screens to emulate the vertical arcade monitor! Though to be honest, the PSP version of Namco Museum (if you ignore the horrible controller) is going to be hard to beat, especially if Namco's US branch handles a Museum game for the DS *shudders*.

The Bus, is Worms like classics Worms and does it have single cart multi-player?
