Sorry for reviving an almost 2 year old thread. GS has this for $20 new. Is that too much money for this old of a game? I've never played any of the Hitman series. The demo was just ok.

I personally love the Hitman games (wish they would hurry up and start Hitman 5 already). However, these games are very much a "love it or hate it" type of game. You are either going to love it or hate it; there is no middle ground.

I think $20 is a bit much for Blood Money though. These games have never been hugely popular, so they fall in price quickly. I would have imagined that you could easily find it for $10 now, probably even $5...

The demo of Blood Money wasn't a good judge of the game. The demo is nothing more than the tutorial level of the full game. The tutorial is completely linear telling you where to go and how to do it, and there is no way to deviate from that set path. The full game is much more open-ended. In the real missions you are given your target's name and location, and not much else. It is completely up to you how you 1) infiltrate the place, 2) kill your target and 3) how you escape.

I wanted to love it buuuuuuuuut I hated it. Couldn't deal with the BS ways you would fail a mission or the trial and error of completing a mission.

Funny that you bumped this thread, I picked it up at Circuit City last week for $13 plus tax. I think it's worth it.

If i could find it for like 10$ on the 360 i think i would give it another shot. I enjoyed the little bit of time i spent with a rental of it. It was my first Hitman game and i thought it was pretty difficult.

Hitman is incredibly difficult. You are not alone my friend.

Have you played the earlier Hitman games? Blood Money is quite a bit easier than its predecessors. In the early Hitman games, it was way too easy to blow your disguise. Running two steps = disguise blown. Opening the wrong door = disguise blown. Looking at a person the wrong way = disguise blown.

Blood Money was quite a bit more lenient when it came to how easily your disguise is blown.

Blood Money was awesome. I bought it release day and still play it from time to time.

edit: The level with the Ave Maria playing in the background really sold me on the feel of the game. Too bad i sucked so badly at it. :lol:

I'd buy it for the 360 if I found it under $10. Great game.
