360 version of Assassin's Creed?
 

I remember last year Assassin's Creed was still in prototype and was being called Project Assassin. At that time, Ubisoft was making it for both PS3 and the Xbox360. Now, at this year's E3, the game is being listed as only for PS3. I watched a video interview with an Ubisoft person on gametrailers.com, and she only mentioned the PS3. (She was hot too but that's offtopic. :drool: ) Was the 360 version of Assassin's Creed cancelled? I was really looking forward to that game since it is made by the Prince of Persia people.

Not sure. I am hoping it does make a 360 appearance, even if after the PS3 version comes out.

I forgot where I heard it, but an Ubisoft rep who wished to remain nameless, reportedly let it slip that it was being released on the 360. Probably a time exclusive for the PS3. There was even an article that the version at E3 was running on a 360 with a third party PS3 controller. Of course, Ubisoft denied it.

If i'm not mistaken, this game was running on a 360 at E3. I can't remember where it is that I read this, but it might have been teamxbox.

That's a rumor already proven incorrect - it was running on a PC workstation with a PS2-esque joypad, but not an XBOX360.

That being said, I wouldn't rule out a timed exclusive. This is Ubisoft, after all. Heck, GRAW is coming to the PS3, why not Assassin's Creed?

Count me as excited if that is the case. Assassins Creed looks pretty cool from what i have seen.

Is GRAW really coming to the PS3? That would be neat if true. All the info I have seen make it an Xbox 360 exclusive. That is the only game that would make me get an Xbox.

I just checked the GAF thread again, and apparently it was only on a "release list" to places like Gamestop. So it wasn't confirmed after all.

Interesting how many companies are making "vague" guesses as to their games' platforms. BIOSHOCK just appeared on the front cover of the UK OPM (Official Playstation Magazine). But Take 2 continues to say that "it's coming out on 360 and PC" (note the absense of the word "only").

Playstation 3 will look better anyway. Still Assassin's Creed looks like a very cool game. I don't think the final game will look like that trailer even on the Playstation 3 but it still looks very promising.
