So who's getting a Wii?
Let us hear your reactions.
|
There was never a chance I wasn't getting it. What I've seen over the last 2 days (Light Gun Shell!) have only solidified my decision.
|
I would like to see a similar poll for the PS3, but I'll let a Sony guy set it up. :)
|
"I'm not getting one because they held Zelda for the Wii launch"
 rotfl  |
|
I voted "other." I am going to get one, but I'm not really a Nintendo fan, nor did I find the E3 conference all that cool.

 rotfl  I laughed when I read that too. Always getting one, no matter what. |
I voted the first choice. Always planned on it, and seeing it at the show makes it that much more real and exciting
|
The games are shaping up. If they are there at launch at a fair price I'm in.
|
I voted Nintendo fan even though i only owned a Cube for a short period of time before giving up on the lack of games. I was sold though when they unveiled the controller. If it works even half as well as the videos and such make it look then i will be ecstatic to be all over this thing.

Nintendo fan and was always buying. Nintendo is the sole reason I'm still a gamer. If it was just sony and MS I'd probably have dropped out last gen, as aside from some RPGs and a couple quircky games on here and there they didn't offer much that interested me.
I was skeptical of buying a Wii at launch, but E3 has sold me with the Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Duckhunt, Virtual Console controller etc. I can't freakin wait. |
I was on the fence prior to the presentation - simply because I simply don't have the time to play all of these great games on 3 different systems (honestly I barely have time for 1, but I get delusional when it comes to video games and always over-buy systems and games). I figured Nintendo would be the odd man out since I didn't play my GC as much as I ever did my PS2 or XBox (not a knock on the GC at all, like I said - just not enough time). But I am completely sold on the Wii - simply an amazing show put on yesterday.

Mii!
(sorry) |
I have really liked the DS and I liked the GameCube so I was pretty much on board. The price is still a bother to me, but even if its $249 at the worst case end I probably will still get one. We have had a ton of fun as a family playing the GameCube and this console looks to be a huge improvement in this area.

What about the "Wanted one when it was called 'Revolution', don't want one anymore" option?
|
buying all the systems
|
^somebody is hopeful. :)

I've just read enough name-bashing over the past couple of weeks, that I've got to believe that yeah, there are at least a couple guys out there, who were totally into it when it was the Revolution, and aren't interested at all now, because of the stupid name. |
Undecided.

If not, I'll wait for a price drop. If that is the price that you are looking for, you probably will be out of luck. $200 for the base console would be, and is still considered a steal at this point. I will still buy it at $250 on launch. I think that you will need to spend over $300 to get everything that you are looking for, which is still much cheaper than the 360 or PS3. |

Had to give this a second input after reading some show impressions. If the controller does not end up doing what its been shown to do without assistance I may be out. For example, it was mentioned that the Tennis game "helps" players by moving them towards the ball, so all you do is swing. I'm fairly confident the control will shape up, but will maintin a watchful eye.

I'm onboard... despite what my wife thinks. ;)
I love you honey... just in case you ever read this. |
