Anyone finish The Godfather yet?

Has anyone been able to finish the Godfather game yet? I own the PS2 version and I was able to become Don of the Corleones but I cannot become Don of New York. I have drove all the families out of business, I own everything and it appears all I have to do is complete the execution list, which is damn tough to do! Anyone been able to complete it 100% yet? If so is the rumor you have to beat the ultimate Godfather in poker to become Don true? HELP!!

lol, no on the poker thing. You should become Don of New York once you take over all the buildings, eliminate the other families (bomb compounds), complete all the story missions. I think you need somewhere around 91.5% completion to become Don of NY.

I don't even know how I became Don of New York. I did complete all the tasks, and the last one I finished allowed me to be Don. Then I was told to go to some place in Little Italy. I figured it was to start another mission. But nope... Don of New York.

Now that I think about it, I didn't have all the buildings or rackets at that point. All missions, executions and compounds though.

As for the executions... you don't HAVE to do it in the style they say, you just get less points. This far into the game it shouldn't really matter, unless you're a completionist
