I'll let you know how the PC version looks and plays in a day or two.

I have this game pre-ordered and they called me yesterday saying it was in for pickup (it was an EBGames) but unfortunately i need to wait till friday. Nothing like potentially getting the game early then having to wait

I pre ordered at GameRush, went in today to pick it up and they said they wouldn't have it till Friday I kinda stared blankly at thew kid for awhile and finally asked him why since it comes out today. He gave me a story about how they don't get their shipment till the end of the week. I have never had this happen with any of my other pre orders there.

my local gamestop has a bunch in now. I'll pick it up after work. I've never played a GTA before, by the way. The load times (as compared to PS2 version) are supposed to be much shorter.

Hmm... I will save my Wal-Mart receipt then.

My Wal-Mart had plenty in stock, and this was the Wal-Mart in the bumpkin town near where I work.

I think I'm gonna go pick it up at Best Buy today. According to Bestbuy.com, it's available at my local Best Buy. However, I really expect to get one of two canned Best Buy employee responses:

"Bestbuy.com is wrong, the totals are never correct"

or my favorite

"We have the game, but can't sell it until Thursday since the ad says so"

The rumor covers the PC version also.

EDIT: The guy that posted the rumor says he'll get an ad (he apparently works there) and said MOH: European Assault and Batman Begins will be $29.99 for all systems.

I wish EB pricematched! I have a $100 credit burning a hole in my pocket but it is hard to burn 20 bucks just b/c it is a credit. I was looking forward to playing this this weekend but now I may have to wait.

Just go buy it at EB, and then buy it at CompUSA when the sale starts and exchange it.

Oh, I went to Best Buy and sure enough I got the old "We have the game but our street date clearly says we can't sell it until Thursday."

So I walked out of Best Buy and across the street to Gamestop and picked it up no problem.

Can anyone who has the PC version tell me how much data is on the disc? Just curious as to how large the game is.

About 3.6 GB if you dont store all the soundtracks on the DVD or 4.7GB for the complete FULL installation. Nice that the PC version came on 1 DVD rather than 7 CD's.

For an HD setup, would the PC or Xbox version be better?

Jeezus! What a hassle! I went by the local Best Buy (I75 & Park Lane, Dallas, TX) at lunch yesterday and they had hundreds of them already out for sale -- no problems! Sounds like a bunch of idiots run your store.

AWESOME GAME, BTW. Played for about 4 hours last night and am having a blast getting lost and just pedaling around on the bike exploring. Unbelievable how damn BIG this thing is!!!!!!!!!

This is why I say PC:
The Xbox one has 480p support, but when enabled, the aliasing is out of control. Portions of the environment look so unbelievably jaggy that you'll wonder if your eyesight is failing you. At times it looks like you're playing a 3D game without putting on the glasses.

Not the first time it has happened. I tried to get Fight Night Round 2 when it first came out and because they gave me the "street date" excuse, EB got my business.

I have gone there a few times, and gotten a game on a Tuesday when it said available Thurs/Fri, but it's rare.

No longer a rumor, it's been confirmed. Also Batman Begins (PS2 version only) should have a free ticket bundled with it.
