I also had a lot of fun last night. Actually I rented the game yesterday in the afternoon and I just had a couple of hours playing the game when we played together. I guess that showed with the moves I was doing :p

Also, since I'm in the West Coast, my wife and daughter were awake, and they were talking, mi daughter wanted me to help her with the Madagascar game she was playing in the PC :) so yeah , it was a kind of mess.

I hope we can play again, since I rented the game and I should return it next week. I'm still thinking if I'm going to buy it. Maybe if I play more with dvdtalkers that'll convince me. I really liked playing with you guys, specially when we played tag team.

I've had an average amount of fun online. I met one guy who was pretty cool and didn't take the game too seriously.

Then I met some brat. It was not even 9pm and he was saying how he had to go to bed soon. We ended up playing a few games but he only seemed to use one move for each person he played out. I told him that after his nap he better learn more than one damn move for each character.

Sorry I had to bail so quickly tonight. I got home from work and tried to sneak in a few matches before dinner. My wife finished cooking a little quicker than I expected so I had to leave early. I logged back on later but didn't see you.

To answer your question, I pop onto Live most nights, anytime between 7 and midnight, and I'll also log on during weekends for a few hours at a time here and there. I'll keep an eye out for you and any other DVDTalkers (the only people I have on my friends list so far) and look for DOA4 matches in progress so I can join in.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the game a lot. You can button mash and squeak by against an inexperienced player, but a skilled player will block or do a reversal and kick your ass most of the time. There's a good focus on the defensive aspects of fighting, which seems to keep the cheap wins to a minimum. I'm starting to get more comfortable with the game and with Live, although I unlocked two of the negative "Achievements" this evening - I lost 5 online matches in a row and my rank dropped to a D+. :lol: I managed to pull myself back to a C- with a fortunate win against a B+ player. The ranking system is really nice, giving you a chance to pick opponents who are in your league, and also giving you motivation to hone your skills against other players and improve your grade. I've never played an online fighting game before, but this one's a lot of fun. Since most of my friends aren't really into gaming, this is just what I was looking for, and I'm really happy with my purchase.

Thanks for the list. I have a hard enough time beating the story mode (especially with the liquid chick boss), so I don't want to have to go through a character that last time just to find I don't get anything!

Yeah, I spent an evening getting all of Hitomi's costumes. Although she doesn't have to fight Alpha-152.

You can also buy the costumes in Zack's shop. Don't think I'll win enough online games to do that though.

I finally played the game this week (rented it). It's a nice looking game, but turned into a button masher for me. I finished the THREE story modes rather quickly, but the first time I kept getting killed, so I finally resorted to button mashing and it worked great.

The lobby system is awesome and i really hope we see some more games that use a cartoony style lobby. Can you imagine Halo three with little alligators and ninjas running around in the lobby having sex. (Once again, avoid Martin in the lobby, especially if you are an alligator )

I will also admit to being sad that Brad Wong only has 3 costumes. He is my fav character - of the base characters. I have only unlocked three other characters so far.

I play DOA alot, unlocked 2 negative acheivements myself. I'm always up for a match.

I've now dropped back down from C- to D+. I need more practice.

I tried to join a match with Raul3 and goLucky last night, but I was having some issues with Live. First, I had the game lock up when I hit the Guide button while I was in the lobby. Then I restarted the console, and every game I joined was laggy. I gave up for the night and then updated my router's firmware. Hopefully that'll fix my connectivity problems.

Anyway, I'll be on again tonight - hope to see some of you there. :)

Does anyone know how to do the tag team combo (on purpose), because I can do it on accident all the time.

Freakin' Canis and his Helena combos. I'm going to have to practice against her when i get her unlocked and learn to counter them. He was the main person who was screwing up all my counters.

Shit, I must have missed you guys last night. Was at work. GoLucky, if you mean the tag throws where you and your partner both come in for a second, then it's just a regular throw. By that I mean a standing throw without any directional input.

Some characters have special ones like my favorite team Bass and Bayman. Bass is f,f, throw and Bayman is f, throw. Gamefaqs had someone post all the combinations. Pretty sweet stuff.

How is the online gameplay??

I just got it and the online gameplay is LAGGY as hell! But it was never like this on DOA2 for the Xbox. It was near flawless. Anyone know if MS is using new servers for the 360??

As someone who is currently playing on a DSL conenction and frequently have issues with lag i love that the game slows down everything so that neither fighter is crippled and timing still stays regular. A few times i have had lag withen playing tag team, but canis and i played some today as well as martin and i at a different time and neither had matchups had any lag.

Great game online (especially the lobby system). I just wish there were clans and ways top check all your stats online like bungie did.

Yeah we definitely had a ton of fun on Saturday night, our good friend Strange even picked up the game late night so now we've got him hooked. BeanDip0001 picked up the game yesterday as well so it looks like we may be able to get a bunch of DVDtalkers online through the week and hopefully next weekend.

I'm sure i'll be on - just not as late. Two nights in a row of staying up to 4am had me feeling pretty terrible by Sunday. I'll be turning in earlier next weekend :p
